Hadith 12932
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi’ bin ‘Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I participated in a battle with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Some people came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the western region; they were wearing woolen clothes. They met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) near a mound; they were standing and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting. I also came and stood between the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and them, and I remembered four things from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); now I can count them on my hand. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You will fight the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula, Allah Almighty will grant victory; then you will fight the Persians, that too will be conquered; then you will fight the Romans, Allah Almighty will grant victory; and then you will fight the Dajjal, and Allah Almighty will grant you victory over him as well.

2. (Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi' bin 'Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the same manner as the previous chain.
Hadith 12934
(Third chain) A similar hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi' bin Utbah bin Abi Waqqas, except that in it: Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Dajjal will not appear until Rome is conquered.
Hadith 12935
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon Allah Almighty will fill your hands with the non-Arabs, but after that a time will come when they will become lions, they will kill your warriors and consume the wealth you have left behind.
Hadith 12936
It is narrated from a Companion of the Prophet, Sayyiduna Dhi Mikhmar (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon the Romans will make a peace treaty with you in safety. Then you and they will together fight a common enemy. You will be helped, you will remain safe, and you will obtain spoils of war. But when you camp at a place with green, grassy hills, at that time a Christian man will raise the cross and say, 'The cross has prevailed.' Hearing this, a Muslim will be stirred by zeal and will get up and break that cross. At this point, the Romans will break their treaty with you and will gather for a fierce battle."
Hadith 12937
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Dhi Makhmar (may Allah be pleased with him), who was an Abyssinian man and used to serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You people will indeed make a peace treaty with the Romans, then you will fight together against another enemy and you will remain safe and will also obtain spoils of war. It is mentioned similar to the previous hadith, except that in this one it is stated: A Muslim will stand up and go towards them and kill one of them, at that moment the Romans will break the treaty and then fierce battles will be fought, they will gather together in the form of an army consisting of eighty (80) banners, and under each banner there will be ten thousand men.
Hadith 12938
Sayyiduna Mustawrid Fahri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him): At the time when the Day of Judgment is established, the number of Romans will be the greatest. Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: Consider carefully, what are you saying? He replied: I am telling you exactly what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you are saying this, then the reason is that the Romans possess these four qualities: (1) If they flee from the battlefield, they return very quickly to launch a (retaliatory) attack, (2) they are much better than others in regard to the rights of the poor, needy, and weak, (3) they prove to be the most courageous at the time of battle, and (4) these people are the foremost in restraining the oppression of kings.
Hadith 12939
Sayyiduna Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was with Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), and I said to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your greatest opponents are the Romans; their end will be with the Day of Resurrection." Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to this: "Did I not forbid you from narrating such ahadith?"
Hadith 12940
It is narrated from Asir bin Jabir, he says: Once a red wind blew in Kufa. An ordinary man, who had no particular importance, said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Day of Judgment has come. Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who was reclining at first, sat up upon hearing this and said: The Day of Judgment will not be established until inheritance is distributed and people rejoice over war booty. The enemies of Islam will gather against the people of Islam, and the people of Islam will gather against them. While saying this, he pointed towards Syria. I said: Do you mean the Romans? He said: Yes. At that time, there will be a severe battle. The Muslims will pledge to fight to the death, that only the victors will return. So they will fight until night falls between them and their enemies, and both the Muslims and the Romans will return, and none of them will be victorious or dominant, and thus the pledge will end. Then the Muslims will again pledge to fight to the death, that only the victors will return. So they will fight until night falls between them and their enemies, and both will return in such a state that none of them will be victorious, and thus this pledge will also end. This time too, the Muslims will pledge to fight to the death, that only with victory will they return. So they will fight until evening comes, and both will return without victory, and the pledge will end. When the fourth day comes, the remaining people of Islam will also rise to face the enemy. Allah Almighty will impose defeat upon them. They will fight such a battle as has never been seen before. (So many heaps of corpses will be piled up that) if a bird flies from one side, it will die before it can cross over them. The situation will be such that if a man counts his hundred sons, only one will survive. In such circumstances, what joy will there be in war booty, and what inheritance will be distributed? People will be in such a state when an even greater news will be announced, and that is that a caller will cry out that the Dajjal has reached among your children left behind. Upon hearing this, they will throw away all things and turn their attention there, and will send a detachment of ten horsemen. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know the names of those horsemen, their fathers and grandfathers, and even the colors of their horses. They will be the best horsemen on the face of the earth at that time.
