فَصْلٌ فِي فَضْل البكور
Section regarding the virtue of rising early
Hadith 12759
عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Bless my Ummah in their early morning hours.
Hadith 12760
عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ عَنْ صَخْرٍ الْغَامِدِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا“ قَالَ وَكَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً أَوْ جَيْشًا بَعَثَهُمْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ قَالَ وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ رَجُلًا تَاجِرًا وَكَانَ يَبْعَثُ تِجَارَتَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ فَأَثْرَى وَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sakhr Ghamidi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Bless my Ummah in their early mornings. Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would send out an army, he would send them at the beginning of the morning. Sakhr was a merchant; he used to send his servants for trade in the early morning, and due to this blessing, so much wealth was gathered for him that he became wealthy and his wealth increased greatly.
