الْبَاب الْخَامِسُ فِيمَا وَرَدَ فِي أَهْلِ فَارِسِ وَمَدِينَةَ مَرْوَ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ خُرَاسَانَ
The fifth chapter regarding what has come about the people of Persia and the city of Marw from the regions of Khurasan
Hadith 12753
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If knowledge were near the Pleiades stars, even then the people of Persia would surely acquire it.
Hadith 12754
وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ أَخَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”لَوْ كَانَ الَّذِي عِنْدَ الثُّرَيَّا لَذَهَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ فَارِسَ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ حَتَّى يَتَنَاوَلَهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If the religion were at the Pleiades stars, even then a man from Persia or the people of Persia would surely go and acquire it.
Hadith 12755
عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي بُعُوثٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فَكُونُوا فِي بَعْثِ خُرَاسَانَ ثُمَّ انْزِلُوا مَدِينَةَ مَرْوَ فَإِنَّهُ بَنَاهَا ذُو الْقَرْنَيْنِ وَدَعَا لَهَا بِالْبَرَكَةِ وَلَا يَضُرُّ أَهْلَهَا سُوءٌ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: After me, many armies will be dispatched; strive to be part of the army that goes towards Khurasan and reside in the city of Marw, for Dhu al-Qarnayn built this city and prayed for its blessing. No evil thing can harm the people of this place.
