It is narrated from Abdullah bin Qais, he says: I had offered prayer in the mosque of Banu Amr bin Auf located in Quba, and was returning riding my mule. On the way, I met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) walking on foot. When I saw him, I dismounted from my mule and said: Uncle! Please ride on this. He said: Nephew! If I wanted to ride, I could have done so, but I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) walking on foot towards this mosque, and he went there and offered prayer. So I prefer to go on foot just as I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) going on foot, and he refused to ride and continued on his way as such.
