Hadith 12683
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the place of Masjid Nabawi was owned by Banu Najjar. There were date palm trees and graves of polytheists in it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Set a price for this plot with me." They said: "We will not take its price." And when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was constructing it, and those people were handing things to him for the construction, at that time the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was reciting these verses: "Behold! The real life is the life of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirin." Before the construction of Masjid Nabawi, whenever the time for prayer would come, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform the prayer wherever he was.

Hadith 12684
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) commanded us to build the mosque. We were carrying one brick each, while Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was carrying two bricks at a time, due to which his head became covered with dust. Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I did not hear this myself from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), but my companions informed me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was dusting the dirt off Sayyiduna Ammar's (may Allah be pleased with him) head and at the same time was saying: "Son of Sumayyah! May Allah have mercy on you, a rebellious group will kill you."

Hadith 12685
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, were carrying bricks for the construction of the Prophet’s Mosque, and Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, was with them as well. I came before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and saw that he, peace and blessings be upon him, was carrying a large brick pressed against his stomach. I thought that it was difficult for him, peace and blessings be upon him, to carry it, so I said: O Messenger of Allah! Please give it to me. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Abu Hurairah! You bring more, the real life is the life of the Hereafter.
