Hadith 12672
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”مَنْ دَخَلَ مَسْجِدَنَا هَذَا لِيَتَعَلَّمَ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيُعَلِّمَهُ، كَانَ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ لِغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ كَانَ كَالنَّاظِرِ إِلَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ“، وَفِي لَفْظٍ: ”وَمَنْ جَاءَ لِغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ رَجُلٍ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَتَاعِ غَيْرِهِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever comes to our mosque to learn or teach goodness is like one who strives in the way of Allah, and whoever comes for any purpose other than this is like one who is looking at something that does not belong to him. The words of another narration are: And whoever comes for any other purpose is like a person who is looking at someone else's belongings.
Hadith 12673
عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One prayer offered in this mosque of mine is superior to a thousand prayers offered in other mosques, except for al-Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 12674
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: One prayer performed in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers performed in any other mosque, except for Masjid al-Haram; the prayer performed there is superior to this prayer.
Hadith 12675
(وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا) قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا كَأَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One prayer offered in this mosque of mine is superior to one thousand prayers offered in other mosques, except for Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 12676
عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ امْرَأَةً اشْتَكَتْ شَكْوَى، فَقَالَتْ: لَئِنْ شَفَانِي اللَّهُ لَأَخْرُجَنَّ فَلَأُصَلِّيَنَّ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ، فَبَرِئَتْ فَتَجَهَّزَتْ تُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ، فَجَاءَتْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهَا، فَأَخْبَرَتْهَا ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَتْ: اجْلِسِي فَكُلِي مَا صَنَعْتِ وَصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ“
It is narrated from Ibrahim bin Abdullah that a woman fell ill and said: If Allah grants me healing, I will go to Bayt al-Maqdis and perform prayer there. She recovered and made preparations to go, and went to Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), greeted her, and informed her of her intention. Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sit down and eat what I have prepared, and perform your prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque itself. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that one prayer performed in this mosque is better than a thousand prayers in other mosques, except for the mosque of the Ka‘bah.
Hadith 12677
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: وَدَّعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ لَهُ: ”أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟“، قَالَ: أُرِيدُ بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِي غَيْرِهِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was bidding farewell to a man, so he asked him: "Well, tell me, where do you intend to go?" He said: "I intend to go to Bayt al-Maqdis." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said to him: "One prayer performed in this mosque of mine is superior to a thousand prayers in other mosques, except for al-Masjid al-Haram."
Hadith 12678
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ”مَنْ صَلَّى فِي مَسْجِدِي أَرْبَعِينَ صَلَاةً لَا يَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةٌ، كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَنَجَاةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ، وَبَرِئَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever performs forty prayers in my mosque in congregation in such a way that not a single prayer is missed, a certificate of freedom from Hell, salvation from punishment, and exemption from hypocrisy is written for him.
