Hadith 12665
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): We returned from a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we stopped at Dhul-Hulaifah. Some people hurried towards Madinah Munawwarah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spent the night there, and we also spent the night with him. In the morning, he (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired about those people, asking where they were. It was informed that they had hurried towards Madinah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They hurried towards Madinah and towards their wives. Beware! Soon a time will come when, despite Madinah being in a good state, they will leave Madinah. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Would that I knew when that fire will appear from the white mountain of Yemen, by which the necks of the camels sitting in Busra will shine as they shine in the day.
Hadith 12666
It is narrated from Mihjan bin Adra’ that Raja says: One day I came with Mihjan and we reached the mosque of Basra. At one of the doors of the mosque, we found Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) sitting. There was a man in the mosque named Sakbah, who used to perform very lengthy prayers. When we returned to the door of the mosque, Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) was still there. He was a man of great humor. He said: O Mihjan! Do you not pray like Sakbah prays? Mihjan did not reply and returned. Raja says: Mihjan said to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took my hand and set out, until we climbed up Uhud. He looked towards Madinah and said: Woe to this town! When it becomes well-populated, its inhabitants will leave it, that is, they will migrate from here. (In another narration, Mihjan (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said: O Prophet of Allah! Then who will eat its fruits, etc.? He said: The birds and the beasts.) Dajjal will come towards this town and he will see an angel with a drawn sword at every gate, and he will not be able to enter it. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended. When we reached the door of the mosque, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man praying in the mosque, he was just bowing and prostrating repeatedly. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: Who is this? After your question, I began to look at him carefully. I said: O Messenger of Allah! This is so-and-so, this is so-and-so, and this is so-and-so. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Be quiet, by saying these words to him you will destroy him. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) walked on, until when we reached near his chamber, he let go of my hand and said: The best of your religion is that which is the easiest, the best of your religion is that in which there is the most ease, the best of your religion is that which is the easiest.
