الْبَابُ الْخَامِسُ فِي حِفْظِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى الْمَدِينَةَ مِنْ دُخُولِ الطَّاعُونِ وَالدَّجَّالِ وَثُبُوتِ الْإِيْمَانِ بِهَا إِلَى آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ
The fifth chapter regarding Allah's protection of Madinah from the entry of plague and the Dajjal, and the persistence of faith in it until the end of time
Hadith 12655
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”عَلَى أَنْقَابِ الْمَدِينَةِ مَلَائِكَةٌ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا الدَّجَّالُ وَلَا الطَّاعُونُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Angels are appointed at the entrances of Madinah Munawwarah; Dajjal and plague will not be able to enter Madinah Munawwarah.
Hadith 12656
عَنِ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عِيَاضٌ، وَكَانَتْ بِنْتُ أُسَامَةَ تَحْتَهُ، قَالَ: ذُكِرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَعْضِ الْأَرْيَافِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ أَصَابَهُ الْوَبَاءُ، قَالَ: فَأَفْزَعَ ذَلِكَ النَّاسَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَطْلُعَ عَلَيْنَا نِقَابُهَا يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ.“ قَالَ أَبِي: وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ الْهَاشِمِيُّ وَيَعْقُوبُ وَقَالَا جَمِيعًا: إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُسَامَةَ.
It is narrated from Iyad, the cousin of Usama bin Zaid, that the daughter of Sayyiduna Usama was married to this Iyad. It is narrated from him that a man was mentioned before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who had come from a prosperous region. When he reached one of the roads of Medina, he was afflicted with an epidemic. Iyad says: Upon hearing this, people became frightened, but the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I hope that no unjust person will be able to come upon us in Medina.
Hadith 12657
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”يَجِيءُ الدَّجَّالُ فَيَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةَ، فَيَأْتِي الْمَدِينَةَ فَيَجِدُ بِكُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْ نِقَابِهَا صُفُوفًا مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ، فَيَأْتِي سَبْخَةَ الْجَرْفِ فَيَضْرِبُ رِوَاقَهُ، فَتَرْجُفُ الْمَدِينَةُ ثَلَاثَ رَجَفَاتٍ، فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ كُلُّ مُنَافِقٍ وَمُنَافِقَةٍ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will appear and he will trample over the entire face of the earth, except for Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah. When he comes towards Madinah Munawwarah, he will find rows of angels on every path of it and will not be able to enter Madinah. Then he will go towards the barren land of Jurf and set up his camp there. Madinah Munawwarah will shake three times, and every hypocrite man and woman present in it will come out and go towards him.
Hadith 12658
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ النَّاسُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى تَصِيرَ مَسَالِحُهُمْ بِسَلَاحٍ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Soon people will turn towards Madinah, until their boundary will be near a place called Salah.
Hadith 12659
(وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا) قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِنَّ الْإِيمَانَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith will withdraw and gather in Madinah just as a snake withdraws into its hole.
