الْبَابُ الرابع في مَلاكِ مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَوْ اَرَادَهُمْ بِسُوءٍ وَطَرَدِهِ عَنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ
The fourth chapter regarding the fate of those who frighten the people of Madinah or intend them harm, and their being expelled from the mercy of Allah

Hadith 12649
عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ ظُلْمًا أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Khalad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frightens the people of Madinah unjustly, Allah will frighten him, and upon him will be the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people, and on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not accept any voluntary or obligatory act of worship from him.
Hadith 12650
وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا“
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever frightens the people of Madinah, Allah will frighten him, and upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. Allah will not accept any voluntary or obligatory act of worship from him on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 12651
عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ أَمِيرًا مِنْ أُمَرَاءِ الْفِتْنَةِ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ، وَكَانَ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُ جَابِرٍ، فَقِيلَ لِجَابِرٍ: لَوْ تَنَحَّيْتَ عَنْهُ، فَخَرَجَ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ فَنُكِّبَ، فَقَالَ: تَعِسَ مَنْ أَخَافَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ ابْنَاهُ أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا: يَا أَبَتِ وَكَيْفَ أَخَافَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ مَاتَ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَدْ أَخَافَ مَا بَيْنَ جَنْبَيَّ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that one of the tyrant rulers came to Madinah Munawwarah. At that time, Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) had lost his eyesight. Someone said to Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): It would be better if you stayed away from him. So he went, walking between his two sons, and he got injured. Then he said: Perished is the man who frightened the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). One or both of his sons said: Father! How did he frighten the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) has passed away? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever frightens the people of Madinah has frightened me.
Hadith 12652
عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نُبَيْهٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ بِدَهْمٍ أَوْ بِسُوءٍ أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever intends to frighten the people of Madinah or to treat them badly, Allah will destroy him in such a way as salt dissolves in water.
Hadith 12653
عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ الثَّلَاثَ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ: ”مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَ الْبَلْدَةِ بِسُوءٍ يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ، أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ.“
It is narrated from Abu Abdullah Qaraz, who says: I testify three times before Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said that Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever intends to treat the people of Madinah badly, Allah will destroy him as salt dissolves in water.
Hadith 12654
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ) أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَ الْبَلْدَةِ بِسُوءٍ يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ.“
(Second chain) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever intends evil against the people of Madinah, Allah will destroy him in such a way as salt dissolves and vanishes in water.
