الْبَابُ الثَّانِي مَا جَاءَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَهُوَ مسجد مَكَّةَ
The second chapter regarding what has come about the Sacred Mosque, which is the mosque of Mecca
Hadith 12600
عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”خَيْرُ مَا رُكِبَتْ إِلَيْهِ الرَّوَاحِلُ مَسْجِدُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَمَسْجِدِي.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the places to which journeys are undertaken on camels, the most excellent and best places are the mosque of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and my mosque.
Hadith 12601
(وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ، وَصَلَاةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مِائَةِ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ.“ قَالَ حُسَيْنٌ: فِيمَا سِوَاهُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One prayer performed in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers performed in all other mosques except Masjid al-Haram, and one prayer performed in Masjid al-Haram is better than one hundred thousand prayers performed in other mosques.
Hadith 12602
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ، وَصَلَاةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مِائَةِ صَلَاةٍ فِي هَذَا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One prayer in this mosque of mine is superior to one thousand prayers in all other mosques, except for Masjid al-Haram, and one prayer in Masjid al-Haram is superior to one hundred prayers in this mosque.
