It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pointed with his blessed hand towards Yemen and said: "Faith is here, faith is here, and harshness and hardness of hearts are among the owners of camels, from where the horns of Satan will emerge from Rabi'ah and Mudar."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Banu Mudar will strike the servants of Allah to such an extent that there will remain no name of anyone worshipping Allah. Then, surely, the people of faith will strike them in such a way that they will be humiliated and disgraced.

Tighten Your grip upon Mudar and inflict upon them a famine like that during the time of Yusuf (peace be upon him).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka’b bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked a curse upon Mudar. I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, Allah Almighty has helped you and accepted your supplication, and your people are being destroyed. Pray to Allah for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away. I repeated: O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, Allah Almighty has helped you and accepted your supplication, and your people are being destroyed. Pray to Allah for them. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated: O Allah! Send down rain upon us that will quench us, abundant, beneficial, and not harmful. About a week passed, and there was heavy rainfall there. Shu’bah, the narrator, also mentioned a word in this supplication which I heard from Habib bin Abi Thabit from Salim in the context of seeking rain, and in the narration of Habib or Amr from Salim: I am coming to you from a people whose camels, due to severe hunger, do not even move their tails, and their shepherds do not even have provisions for the journey.
