مَا جَاءَ فِي بَجِيْلَةَ وَأَحْمَسَ وَقَيْسٍ وَبَنِى نَاجِيَةً
What has come about Bajilah, Ahmas, Qays, and Banu Najiyah
Hadith 12571
عَنْ مُخَارِقٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَجِيلَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”اكْتُبُوا الْبَجَلِيِّينَ وَابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمَسِيِّينَ.“ قَالَ: فَتَخَلَّفَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَا يَقُولُ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَدَعَا لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ: ”اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ، أَوِ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمْ.“ مُخَارِقٌ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him) that a delegation from Bajilah came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding them: "Record the names of the individuals of Banu Bajilah, and write the names of Banu Ahmas first." Upon hearing this, a man from Banu Qais stepped back to see what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say about them. He narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said five times in their favor: "O Allah! Have mercy on them." Or, "O Allah! Send blessings upon them." The narrator, Mukharraq, was uncertain about these words.
Hadith 12572
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ) عَنْ مُخَارِقٍ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ قَالَ: قَدِمَ وَفْدُ أَحْمَسَ وَوَفْدُ قَيْسٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”ابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمَسِيِّينَ قَبْلَ الْقَيْسِيِّينَ.“ وَدَعَا لِأَحْمَسَ، فَقَالَ: ”اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِي أَحْمَسَ وَخَيْلِهَا وَرِجَالِهَا.“ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ.
. (Second chain) It is narrated from Tariq bin Shihab, he says: A delegation of people from Banu Ahmas and Banu Qais came to the service of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Begin with Banu Ahmas before Banu Qais. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated seven times in favor of Banu Ahmas: "O Allah! Bless Ahmas, their cavalry, and their foot soldiers."
Hadith 12573
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ أُمَّتِي بِي لُحُوقًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The first person to meet me in Paradise will be a woman from the Banu Ahmas.
