Hadith 12560
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said regarding the tribe of Banu Najiyah: I am from them and they are from me (that is, they are mine and I am theirs).
Hadith 12561
Another narration, which is reported from the nephew of Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), states that people mentioned Banu Najiyah in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That tribe is from me. In the chain of this narration, Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) is not mentioned.
Hadith 12562
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was present in the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he supplicated so much for the tribe of Banu Nakha' or, as he said, he praised them so much that I wished I had been one of them.
Hadith 12563
It is narrated from Hanzala bin Naeem that he went to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). It was the habit of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever a member of a delegation passed by him, he would ask which tribe he belonged to. When my father, Sayyiduna Hanzala (may Allah be pleased with him), passed by him, he asked him which tribe he was from. He replied: I am from the tribe of Anzah. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is a tribe upon whom oppression will be done, but they will be supported and helped.
