Hadith 12547
عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِنَّ لِلْقُرَشِيِّ مِثْلَيْ قُوَّةِ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ غَيْرِ قُرَيْشٍ.“ فَقِيلَ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ: مَا عَنَى بِذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: نُبْلَ الرَّأْيِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A Qurayshi has twice the strength of a non-Qurayshi. Zuhri was asked: What is meant by this hadith? He said: Soundness of judgment.
Hadith 12548
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”أَسْرَعُ قَبَائِلِ الْعَرَبِ فَنَاءً قُرَيْشٌ، وَيُوشِكُ أَنْ تَمُرَّ الْمَرْأَةُ بِالنَّعْلِ، فَتَقُولَ: إِنَّ هَذَا نَعْلُ قُرَشِيٍّ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the Arab tribes, the tribe that will be destroyed the soonest is that of Quraysh. It is near that a woman will pass by a shoe and say: This is the shoe of a Qurayshi man.
Hadith 12549
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”يَا عَائِشَةُ! إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَهْلِكُ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَوْمُكِ.“ قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ أَبَنِي تَيْمٍ؟ قَالَ: ”لَا، وَلَكِنْ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، تَسْتَحْلِيهِمُ الْمَنَايَا وَتَنَفَّسُ عَنْهُمْ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ هَلَاكًا.“ قُلْتُ: فَمَا بَقَاءُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُمْ؟ قَالَ: ”هُمْ صُلْبُ النَّاسِ فَإِذَا هَلَكُوا هَلَكَ النَّاسُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Aisha! The first people among the people who will perish will be those of your tribe." Sayyida said: "I said: May Allah sacrifice me for you, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), do you mean Banu Taym by this?" He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "No, no, I mean the Quraysh. Deaths will find them sweet and will turn them away, and they will be the first to be destroyed." I said: "How will those who remain after them be?" He said: "They will be strong people; when these are destroyed, the remaining people will also be destroyed."
Hadith 12550
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ: ”لَا يُقْتَلُ قُرَشِيٌّ صَبْرًا بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ.“ (زَادَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ: إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ) وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْإِسْلَامُ أَحَدًا مِنْ عُصَاةِ قُرَيْشٍ غَيْرَ مُطِيعٍ، وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ عَاصِي فَسَمَّاهُ مُطِيعًا يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muti’, who says: On the day of the conquest of Makkah, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: From today until the Day of Resurrection, no Quraishi will be killed while being bound. Among the sinners of the Quraish, that is, those named ‘Asi, none except this Muti’ became Muslim, and this companion’s name was also ‘Asi. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, changed his name to Muti’.
Hadith 12551
عَنْ طَارِقٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَذَقْتَ أَوَائِلَ قُرَيْشٍ نَكَالًا فَأَذِقْ آخِرَهُمْ نَوَالًا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah, You punished the earlier people of Quraysh, so now bestow blessings upon the later people of Quraysh.
Hadith 12552
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَلِيَ عِيَالٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ“ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُوسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا قَوْلَهُ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بَعِيرًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a marriage proposal to Sayyida Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her), but she said: O Messenger of Allah! I have become old and there are children in my care. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best women who ride camels are the women of Quraysh; they are extremely kind to their children in their childhood and are very protective of their husbands’ wealth. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyida Maryam bint Imran never rode a camel.
Hadith 12553
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنَّ خَيْرَ نِسَاءِ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغْرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى بَعْلٍ بِذَاتِ يَدِهِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best women who ride camels are the righteous women of the Quraysh, who are very caring of their children in their childhood and are protectors of their husbands’ wealth and possessions.
Hadith 12554
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ مَادَّةً وَإِنَّ مَوَادَّ قُرَيْشٍ مَوَالِيهِمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every nation has some supporters; the supporters of the Quraysh are their allies (or slaves).
Hadith 12555
وَعَنْهَا مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ ”إِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ مَادَّةً وَإِنَّ مَادَّةَ قُرَيْشٍ مَوَالِيهِمْ“
Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Every nation has an assistant; the assistants of the Quraysh are their allies (or slaves)."
