الْبَابُ الْخَامِسُ فِي تَمْيِيزِ الْأُمَّةِ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةِ مِنْ سَائِرِ الْأُمَمِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِالتَّحْجِيلِ
The fifth chapter regarding the distinguishing of the Muhammadan nation from other nations on the Day of Resurrection by their radiant marks
Hadith 12508
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ”مَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَأَنَا أَعْرِفُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ“ قَالُوا وَكَيْفَ تَعْرِفُهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي كَثْرَةِ الْخَلَائِقِ قَالَ ”أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ دَخَلْتَ صَبْرَةً فِيهَا خَيْلٌ دُهْمٌ بُهْمٌ وَفِيهَا فَرَسٌ أَغَرُّ مُحَجَّلٌ أَمَا كُنْتَ تَعْرِفُهُ مِنْهَا“ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ ”فَإِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَئِذٍ غُرٌّ مِنَ السُّجُودِ مُحَجَّلُونَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr Mazni رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will recognize every individual of my Ummah. The noble Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Among so many people, how will you recognize the people of your Ummah? He صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said: What do you think, if you go to a stable where there are pure black horses and among them there is a horse whose forehead and all four legs are white, would you not quickly recognize it? The Companion رضي الله عنه said: Yes, indeed! He صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said: Then the foreheads of the individuals of my Ummah will shine because of prostration and their hands and feet will shine because of ablution.
Hadith 12509
عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”مَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحَدٌ إِلَّا وَأَنَا أَعْرِفُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ“ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ رَأَيْتَ وَمَنْ لَمْ تَرَ قَالَ ”مَنْ رَأَيْتُ وَمَنْ لَمْ أَرَ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الطَّهُورِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will recognize every individual of my Ummah. The noble Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will you recognize each one, whether you have seen them or not? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Whether I have seen them or not, their foreheads and hands and feet will be shining because of ablution.
Hadith 12510
عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُ بِالسُّجُودِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَنْظُرَ إِلَى بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ فَأَعْرِفَ أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأُمَمِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ وَعَنْ يَمِينِي مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ وَعَنْ شِمَالِي مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ“ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ أُمَّتَكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأُمَمِ فِيمَا بَيْنَ نُوحٍ إِلَى أُمَّتِكَ قَالَ ”هُمْ غُرٌّ مُحَجَّلُونَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الْوُضُوءِ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ كَذَلِكَ غَيْرُهُمْ وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ يُؤْتَوْنَ كُتُبَهُمْ بِأَيْمَانِهِمْ وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will be the first to be granted permission to prostrate, and I will be the first to be allowed to raise my head from prostration. I will look before me and recognize my Ummah among all the nations. Behind me, to my right and to my left, there will be people everywhere. A man asked: O Messenger of Allah! How will you recognize your Ummah among the individuals of the nations from the time of Noah (peace be upon him) to your own Ummah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: The limbs of my Ummah will be radiant due to the blessing of ablution, and no one from any other nation will have this sign except my Ummah. And the records of deeds of my Ummah will be given in their right hands, and I will also recognize them in this way, that their children will be running before them.
Hadith 12511
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مِنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأُمَمِ“ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ أُمَّتَكَ قَالَ ”أَعْرِفُهُمْ يُؤْتَوْنَ كُتُبَهُمْ بِأَيْمَانِهِمْ وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ وَأَعْرِفُهُمْ بِنُورِهِمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr and Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will recognize the people of my Ummah among all the nations. The Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), how will you recognize your Ummah? He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: I will recognize them, their books of deeds will be given in their right hands and there will be a mark on their faces due to prostrations, I will recognize them by this mark as well, and there will be light running ahead of them, by this too I will recognize them.
