It is narrated from Uthman bin Yazdawiyah, he says: I went to Madinah Munawwarah in the company of Umar bin Yazid, at that time Umar bin Abdul Aziz was the governor there before becoming the caliph. At that time, I heard Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who had many white marks of leukoderma on his body, saying: He said, "I have not seen anyone who performs prayer more like the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than this young man, i.e., Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Despite performing the complete prayer, he used to perform it briefly."
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I have not seen anyone among your leaders who performed prayer like the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) more than this Imam of yours. Umar bin Abdul Aziz did not recite long (portions) in prayer.
