Hadith 12450
It is narrated from Rifaa Qutbani, he says: I went to Mukhtar, he placed a cushion towards me and said: If my brother Jibreel had not just gotten up from this, I would have given you this cushion. Rifaa says: Hearing this made me angry, and I intended to strike off his neck, but suddenly I remembered a hadith which my brother Sayyiduna Amr bin Humaq (may Allah be pleased with him) had narrated to me, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever gives a believer protection for his life and then kills him, I am dissociated and free from him.
Hadith 12451
(Second chain) Rifa’ah says: I was standing over Mukhtar’s head, and when I became certain of his falsehood, I intended to draw my sword and strike off his neck. But then I remembered the hadith that Sayyiduna Amr bin Humaq (may Allah be pleased with him) had narrated. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever grants someone safety for his life and then kills him, a banner of treachery will be given to him on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 12452
It is narrated from Abu Rifa’ah Bijli, he says: I entered the palace of Mukhtar bin Abi Ubaid, and I heard him saying that my brother Jibreel has just left from me. Upon hearing this, I intended to strike his neck, then I remembered a hadith which Sulaiman bin Surad had narrated to me that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man entrusts you with his blood, do not kill him. And this Mukhtar had sought protection for his life from me, so I did not consider it appropriate to kill him.
Hadith 12453
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was at the house of a Kufan, and that person began to tell him some things about Mukhtar. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that before the Day of Judgment, thirty great liars (Dajjals) will appear.
