Mawla-e-Mehri narrates from Abu Saeed that during the incident of Harrah, he went to Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and sought his advice about moving to another place outside Madinah Munawwarah. He complained that he had many dependents and there was a lot of inflation here, so he could not bear the hardship of living here. He (Abu Saeed Khudri) replied: Woe to you, I cannot advise you on this matter, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever among the Muslims bears the difficulties and hardships that occur in Madinah Munawwarah and dies in that state, then I will be an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection, or he said: I will be a witness for him.

It is narrated from Zaid bin Aslam that among the seditious rulers, a governor came to Madinah Munawwarah. At that time, Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) had lost his eyesight. Someone said to him: If you keep away from him (it would be better). So he went aside, walking between his two sons, and said: May that man be ruined and destroyed who frightened and terrified the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Both his sons, or one of them, said: Father! The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, has passed away, how did he frighten you? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever frightens the people of Madinah has frightened my heart.
