Hadith 12424
عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ جَاءَ نَعْيُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ لَعَنَتْ أَهْلَ الْعِرَاقِ فَقَالَتْ قَتَلُوهُ قَتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ غَرُّوهُ وَذَلُّوهُ قَتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَتْهُ فَاطِمَةُ غَدِيَّةً بِبُرْمَةٍ قَدْ صَنَعَتْ لَهُ فِيهَا عَصِيدَةً تَحْمِلُهُ فِي طَبَقٍ لَهَا حَتَّى وَضَعَتْهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَيْنَ ابْنُ عَمِّكِ قَالَتْ هُوَ فِي الْبَيْتِ قَالَ ”فَاذْهَبِي فَادْعِيهِ وَائْتِنِي بِابْنَيْهِ“ قَالَتْ فَجَاءَتْ تَقُودُ ابْنَيْهَا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا بِيَدٍ وَعَلِيٌّ يَمْشِي فِي إِثْرِهِمَا حَتَّى دَخَلُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَجْلَسَهُمَا فِي حِجْرِهِ وَجَلَسَ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَجَلَسَتْ فَاطِمَةُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَاجْتَبَذَ مِنْ تَحْتِي كِسَاءً خَيْبَرِيًّا كَانَ بِسَاطًا لَنَا عَلَى الْمَنَامَةِ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ فَلَفَّهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ جَمِيعًا فَأَخَذَ بِشِمَالِهِ طَرَفَيِ الْكِسَاءِ وَأَلْوَى بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى إِلَى رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ ”اللَّهُمَّ أَهْلِي أَذْهِبْ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهِّرْهُمْ تَطْهِيرًا اللَّهُمَّ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي أَذْهِبْ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهِّرْهُمْ تَطْهِيرًا اللَّهُمَّ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي أَذْهِبْ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهِّرْهُمْ تَطْهِيرًا“ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَسْتُ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ قَالَ ”بَلَى فَادْخُلِي فِي الْكِسَاءِ“ قَالَتْ فَدَخَلْتُ فِي الْكِسَاءِ بَعْدَمَا قَضَى دُعَاءَهُ لِابْنِ عَمِّهِ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنَيْهِ وَابْنَتِهِ فَاطِمَةَ
Shahr bin Hawshab says that when the news of the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Husayn ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, I heard Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) curse the people of Iraq and say: They have killed Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him), may Allah kill those people, may Allah curse them, they deceived him and were disloyal to him. I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) came early in the morning carrying a small pot in which she had prepared food, and she had placed it in a tray. She placed it before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Where is your cousin? She said: He is at home. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Call him and both the children as well. She went and brought both her children, holding each by the hand, and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was following behind them. They reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated the children in his lap, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sat on his right side, and Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) sat on his left side. Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pulled the Khaibari cloak from beneath me, which was our bedding in Madinah. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) covered all of them with that cloak and, holding both sides of the cloak with his left hand, raised his right hand towards Allah and said: O Allah, these are my family members, so remove impurity from them and purify them thoroughly. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made this supplication three times. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I not among your family? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, you too come under the cloak. When I entered under the cloak, at that time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had already finished supplicating for his cousin Sayyiduna Ali, his daughter Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her), and her sons.
Hadith 12425
عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَأَحْسِبُهُ سَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ يَقْتُلُ الذُّبَابَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ يَسْأَلُونَ عَنِ الذُّبَابِ وَقَدْ قَتَلُوا ابْنَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”هُمَا رَيْحَانَتَيَّ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا“
Shu’bah says: I think that some (Iraqi man) asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) this question: If a man in the state of Ihram kills a fly, what is its expiation? He replied: The people of Iraq ask about killing a fly, while they have killed the grandson of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These two—Hasan and Husayn—are my two flowers in this world.
Hadith 12426
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ جَمِيلٍ الْجُمَحِيِّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَعِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ يَرْمُونَ الْجَمْرَةَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبِي يَا أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ أَيَّ سَنَةٍ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَمِائَةٍ سَنَةَ وَقْعَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ
It is narrated from Nafi' bin 'Umar Jumahi, he says: I saw 'Ata bin Abi Malikah and 'Ikrimah bin Khalid, they stoned the Jamrah (threw pebbles) before Fajr on the Day of Nahr, that is, the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah. My father asked them: O Abu Sulaiman! In which year did you hear this hadith from Nafi' bin 'Umar? They said: In the year of Husayn's martyrdom, 169 Hijri.
