Hadith 12423
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ بِنِصْفِ النَّهَارِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ أَشْعَثُ أَغْبَرُ بِيَدِهِ قَارُورَةٌ فِيهَا دَمٌ فَقُلْتُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا هَذَا قَالَ ”هَذَا دَمُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ“ لَمْ أَزَلْ أَلْتَقِطُهُ مُنْذُ الْيَوْمِ فَأَحْصَيْنَا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ فَوَجَدُوهُ قُتِلَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream at midday, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing, and his hair was disheveled and covered with dust, and in his hand was a bottle in which there was blood. I said: O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you, what is this? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the blood of Husayn and his companions, which I have been collecting today. We calculated that day, and it was the very day on which Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred.
