Hadith 12390
عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ خَطَبَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ فَارَقَكُمْ رَجُلٌ بِالْأَمْسِ لَمْ يَسْبِقْهُ الْأَوَّلُونَ بِعِلْمٍ وَلَا يُدْرِكْهُ الْآخِرُونَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْعَثُهُ بِالرَّايَةِ جِبْرِيلُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ لَا يَنْصَرِفُ حَتَّى يُفْتَحَ لَهُ
It is narrated from Hubayrah, he says: Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon to us and said: Yesterday, a man departed from you who, in terms of knowledge, was not surpassed by anyone among the earlier people, nor will anyone among the later ones attain his rank. Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him forth with a flag, Jibreel (peace be upon him) would be on his right side and Mikaeel (peace be upon him) on his left side, and he would not return without achieving victory.
Hadith 12391
وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ وَزَادَ وَمَا تَرَكَ مِنْ صَفْرَاءَ وَلَا بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا سَبْعَ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ مِنْ عَطَائِهِ كَانَ يَرْصُدُهَا لِخَادِمٍ لِأَهْلِهِ
(Second chain) These additional words are present in it: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did not leave behind gold or silver; there were only seven hundred dirhams, which he had set aside for a servant for his family.
