It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was still very young when the Messenger of Allah sent me to Yemen. I said: You are sending me to people among whom there will be disputes, and I do not possess the knowledge to make judgments. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty will set your tongue right and strengthen your heart. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: After that, I never hesitated in making decisions between two people.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Since you are sending me, should I become like a hot coin (i.e., act strictly on your command) or like one who is present and sees what the absent cannot see?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Like one who is present and sees what the absent cannot see."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: One day I assisted the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in performing ablution. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Will you go to visit Fatimah and inquire about her health? I said: Yes. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, leaning on me, and said: No one else but you will bear her burden, and you will receive its reward. After hearing this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it was as if there was no burden left on me, until we reached the house of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: How do you find yourself? She replied: By Allah! My grief has increased, I am afflicted with severe hunger, and my illness has also become prolonged. Abu Abdur Rahman says: I found written in my father's book, in his own handwriting, that in this hadith the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: Are you pleased that I marry you to a man who was the first (i.e., among the first) to accept Islam in my Ummah, and is the most knowledgeable and patient?
