Hadith 12072
قَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَعْنِي لِكَعْبٍ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ أَمْرٍ فَلَا تَكْتُمْنِي قَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَكْتُمُكَ شَيْئًا أَعْلَمُهُ قَالَ مَا أَخْوَفُ شَيْءٍ تَخَوَّفُهُ عَلَى أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَئِمَّةً مُضِلِّينَ قَالَ عُمَرُ صَدَقْتَ قَدْ أَسَرَّ ذَلِكَ إِلَيَّ وَأَعْلَمَنِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): I want to ask you something, you must not hide anything from me. Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! I will not hide anything from you of what I know. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: What do you fear most for the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Misguiding rulers. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You have spoken the truth, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told me this confidentially.
Hadith 12073
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ مُخَاصِرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ”غَيْرُ الدَّجَّالِ أَخْوَفُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ“ فَلَمَّا خَشِيتُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَخْوَفُ عَلَى أُمَّتِكَ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ قَالَ ”الْأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلِّينَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: One day I was walking side by side with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) towards his house when I heard him say: "Besides the Dajjal, there is another trial which I fear for my Ummah." When I became afraid that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was about to enter his house, I said: "O Messenger of Allah! What do you fear for your Ummah more than the Dajjal?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Misguiding rulers."
Hadith 12074
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أَنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ الضَّالُّونَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) emphatically said to us: “What I fear most for you are misguided rulers.”
