Hadith 12014
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”قَدْ تُوُفِّيَ الْيَوْمَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ مِنَ الْحَبَشَةِ هَلُمَّ فَصُفُّوا“ قَالَ فَصَفَفْنَا فَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ وَنَحْنُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Today, a righteous man from Abyssinia has passed away. Come, form rows (and let us perform his funeral prayer). So we formed rows, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us and we performed his funeral prayer.
Hadith 12015
(عَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ عَبْدٌ لِلَّهِ صَالِحٌ أَصْحَمَةُ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ“ فَقَامَ فَأَمَّنَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Today a servant of Allah, Ashamah, has passed away. Rise and perform his funeral prayer. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up, led us in prayer, and performed his funeral prayer.
