It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qais, that is, Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, reciting (the Qur'an), and said: He has been granted a melodious voice like that of Allah's Prophet Dawud, peace be upon him.

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) heard Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting (the Qur'an), so he said: "Abu Musa has indeed been given a melodious voice like that of the family of Dawud."
Hadith 11956

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he went out at the time of ‘Isha and met the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his hand and brought him to the mosque. There, they heard the voice of a man reciting. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you think he is showing off?” Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) remained silent. Then that man supplicated as follows: “O Allah! I ask You by virtue of my bearing witness that You are Allah, there is no deity except You, the One, the Self-Sufficient, who neither begets nor is begotten, and there is none comparable to Him.” (O Allah! I ask You by this means, that I testify that You are the only Allah, there is no god but You, You are One, You are Self-Sufficient, You did not beget nor were You begotten, and there is none equal to You.) Upon hearing this supplication, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “By Him in Whose hand is my soul! He has supplicated to Allah by His greatest name; whenever Allah is asked by this name, He grants, and whenever supplication is made by it, He accepts.” Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The next night, I went out at the time of ‘Isha, and again met the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He took my hand and brought me to the mosque, and the voice of the same man’s recitation was coming. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you think he is showing off?” Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “O Messenger of Allah! Do you think he is showing off?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “He is not showing off, rather he is a sincere believer. He is not showing off, rather he is a sincere believer.” I (Buraidah) looked and saw that it was Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him), who was reciting aloud in a corner of the mosque. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Abdullah bin Qais Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) has been given a melodious voice like that of Dawud (peace be upon him).” I said: “O Messenger of Allah! Shall I inform him of this?” He said: “Yes, and inform him.” When I informed him, he said to me: “You are my sincere friend, because you have informed me of a special statement of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).”
Hadith 11957
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said to a man, "Come, let us dedicate this day of ours to Allah Almighty." By Allah, it felt as if on that day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was also present among us. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed and said: "There are some people who say to others, 'Come, let us dedicate this day of ours to Allah Almighty.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this statement so many times that I wished the earth would swallow me up.
Hadith 11958
It is narrated from Sha'bi, he says: In his will, Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) had written that none of my appointed officials should remain in their responsibility for more than one year; however, you should keep Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) in his responsibility for four years.
Hadith 11959
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Grant Your servant Ubaid Abu Amir a rank on the Day of Resurrection higher than most people. Sayyiduna Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred in the Battle of Autas, and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) killed the killer of Sayyiduna Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and sent him to Hell. The narrator of the hadith, Asim, says: My teacher Abu Wa'il stated: I am certain that Allah Almighty will not gather the killer of Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) together in Hell.
Hadith 11960
It is narrated from Abu Burdah that when the time of death approached for Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he made a will, saying: When you carry my funeral, walk a little quickly, and let no man walk with the funeral burning incense on coals, and do not place anything in my grave that would come between me and the earth, and do not build any structure over my grave. And I make you witnesses that I am free and dissociated from every woman who shaves her head, wails, or tears her clothes upon someone's death. The people asked: Did you hear anything about this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes.
