بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ
Chapter on What Has Been Narrated Regarding Abu al-Tufayl, may Allah be pleased with him
Hadith 11934
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَطُوفُ مَعَ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ مَا بَقِيَ أَحَدٌ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرِي قَالَ قُلْتُ وَرَأَيْتَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَ صِفَتُهُ قَالَ كَانَ أَبْيَضَ مَلِيحًا مُقَصَّدًا
It is narrated from Jariri, he says: I was performing Tawaf with Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: There is no one left except me who has seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I asked him: Did you see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. I asked: What was the appearance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) like? He said: He was fair, handsome, and of medium height.
Hadith 11935
وَعَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَدْرَكْتُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ مِنْ حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَوُلِدْتُ عَامَ أُحُدٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was born in the year of Uhud and I witnessed eight years of the life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
