Hadith 11763
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَالْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتُ الْمِسْوَرِ قَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتِ الْمِسْوَرِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ بَاعَ أَرْضًا لَهُ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ فَقَسَمَهُ فِي فُقَرَاءِ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَفِي الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ الْمِسْوَرُ فَأَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِنَصِيبِهَا فَقَالَتْ مَنْ أَرْسَلَ بِهَذَا فَقُلْتُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَتْ أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَقَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”لَا يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ“ سَقَى اللَّهُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ
It is narrated from Umm Bakr bint Maswar that Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) sold one of his lands to Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) for forty thousand dinars. And he distributed all this amount among the poor of Banu Zuhrah, the Muhajir Sahabah, and the Mothers of the Believers. Maswar says: I took the share of Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) and presented it to her. She inquired, "Who sent this amount?" I replied, "Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him)." The Lady (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say regarding his wives: 'After me, only those who are characterized by patience will show kindness and compassion to you.' May Allah give Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) to drink from the Salsabeel of Paradise."
Hadith 11764
عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ ”إِنَّ الَّذِي يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي لَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْبَارُّ“ اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed his wives and said: Whoever shows kindness to you after me will be extremely truthful and righteous. O Allah! Quench the thirst of Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) from the fountain in Paradise called Salsabeel.
Hadith 11765
عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا عَائِشَةُ فِي بَيْتِهَا إِذْ سَمِعَتْ صَوْتًا فِي الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَتْ مَا هَذَا قَالُوا عِيرٌ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَدِمَتْ مِنَ الشَّامِ تَحْمِلُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ فَكَانَتْ سَبْعَ مِائَةِ بَعِيرٍ قَالَ فَارْتَجَّتِ الْمَدِينَةُ مِنَ الصَّوْتِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”قَدْ رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ حَبْوًا“ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ فَقَالَ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُ لَأَدْخُلَنَّهَا قَائِمًا فَجَعَلَهَا بِأَقْتَابِهَا وَأَحْمَالِهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was sitting in her house when she heard loud noises in Madinah Munawwarah. She asked: What are these sounds? Those who informed her said that a trade caravan of Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) has arrived from Syria, carrying all kinds of goods. There were seven hundred camels, and the sounds of the caravan made Madinah resound. Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I saw Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) entering Paradise crawling on his buttocks. When this reached Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: If I try, I can also enter Paradise standing upright. So he spent the entire caravan, along with its saddles and all the goods it carried, in the way of Allah Almighty.
Hadith 11766
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ قَالَ أَقْطَعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَرْضَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَذَهَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ إِلَى آلِ عُمَرَ فَاشْتَرَى نَصِيبَهُ مِنْهُمْ فَأَتَى عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ زَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْطَعَهُ وَعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَرْضَ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَإِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ نَصِيبَ آلِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ جَائِزُ الشَّهَادَةِ لَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) allotted such-and-such lands to me and Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the family of Umar and bought their share from them, and then went to Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) believes that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) allotted such-and-such lands to him and Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). Now I have bought the share of the family of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The testimony of Abdur Rahman bin Awf is accepted in every case, whether it is in his favor or against him.
