Sayyiduna Hanzalah bin Huzaym (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that his father took him and seated him near the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My son has a beard, meaning he is of mature age, and there are those younger than him as well. He is the youngest. Please supplicate to Allah Almighty for him." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on his head and said: "May Allah bless you." Dhiyal says: I saw Sayyiduna Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a man's face or an animal's udder would become swollen and such a man or animal would be brought to Sayyiduna Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him), he would say 'Bismillah' and place his hand on that part of his head where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his blessed palm, and then he would pass his hand over the sick man or animal, and its swelling would disappear.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wahshi bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) against the apostates and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) is the best servant of Allah and the best individual of the people. He is one of the swords of Allah, which Allah Almighty has unleashed upon the disbelievers and the hypocrites."
