Hadith 11622
عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَّرَ أُسَامَةَ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ يَعِيبُونَ أُسَامَةَ وَيَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ فَقَامَ كَمَا حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ فَقَالَ ”إِنَّكُمْ تَعِيبُونَ أُسَامَةَ وَتَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ وَقَدْ فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فِي أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَإِنْ كَانَ لَخَلِيقًا لِلْإِمَارَةِ وَإِنْ كَانَ لَأَحَبَّ النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ إِلَيَّ وَإِنَّ ابْنَهُ هَذَا بَعْدَهُ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِهِ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ خِيَارِكُمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of the army, news reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that people were objecting to Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) being made the commander and were criticizing his appointment as leader. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and said: "You people object to Usama being appointed as the commander of the army and criticize his being made the leader. You did the same before regarding his father, even though he was truly deserving of being made the leader. And he was the most beloved to me. After him, this son of his is among the dearest people to me. I advise you to treat him well; he is among your best people."
Hadith 11623
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”أُسَامَةُ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ مَا حَاشَا فَاطِمَةَ وَلَا غَيْرَهَا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most beloved to me is Usama (bin Zaid), apart from Fatimah and others.
Hadith 11624
عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَبَطْتُ وَهَبَطَ النَّاسُ مَعِيَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ أَصْمَتَ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ فَجَعَلَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ يَصُبُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَعْرِفُ أَنَّهُ يَدْعُو لِي
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became severely ill, I and my companions all stayed in a suburb of Madinah. I went to serve the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), at that time he was completely silent and could not speak due to the severity of the illness. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise both his hands towards the sky and then gesture towards me by lowering them. I understood that he was praying for me.
Hadith 11625
حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ يُحَدِّثُهُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْخُذُنِي فَيُقْعِدُنِي عَلَى فَخِذِهِ وَيُقْعِدُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْأُخْرَى ثُمَّ يَضُمُّنَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ ”اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُمَا فَإِنِّي أَرْحَمُهُمَا“ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ هُوَ السَّلِّيُّ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ إِلَى رَبِيعَةَ يَعْنِي أَبَا تَمِيمَةَ السَّلِّيَّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take me and seat me on one of his thighs, and seat Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) on his other thigh. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would embrace us to his chest and say: O Allah! I show affection to them, so You also have mercy on them.
Hadith 11626
عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَبْغُضَ أُسَامَةَ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”مَنْ كَانَ يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَرَسُولَهُ فَلْيُحِبَّ أُسَامَةَ“
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever loves Allah and His Messenger should love Usama. After this command, it is not permissible for anyone to bear enmity towards Usama (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 11627
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَثَرَ بِأُسْكُفَّةِ أَوْ عَتَبَةِ الْبَابِ فَشُجَّ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أَمِيطِي عَنْهُ أَوْ نَحِّي عَنْهُ الْأَذَى“ قَالَتْ فَتَقَذَّرْتُهُ قَالَتْ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمُصُّهُ ثُمَّ يَمُجُّهُ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”لَوْ كَانَ أُسَامَةُ جَارِيَةً لَكَسَوْتُهُ وَحَلَّيْتُهُ حَتَّى أُنْفِقَهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) fell on the door frame and got a wound on his forehead. (And in another narration, it is mentioned that blood started to flow.) So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Clean the blood from his forehead. But I felt some aversion, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) himself started to suck the wound and kept spitting it out, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) were a girl, I would have dressed him in fine clothes and jewelry and made him so beautiful that people would desire to marry him.
