It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Every prophet before me was given seven of the best and most excellent companions as ministers, whereas I have been given fourteen such individuals. Their names are: Hamza, Ja'far, Ali, Hasan, Husayn, Abu Bakr, Umar, Miqdad, Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Abu Dharr, Hudhayfah, Salman, Ammar, Bilal.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this Ummah, there will be thirty Abdal like Allah's Khalil, Ibrahim (peace be upon him). When one of them passes away, Allah will replace him with another.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Irbaad bin Saariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to us at Suffah while we were wearing turbans, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: If you knew what Allah has stored for you, then you would not grieve over those things which were not given to you in this world. Remember that Persia and Rome will certainly, most certainly, be conquered at your hands.
