It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was given a white mule as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rode it, and Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) was leading it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Recite. He said: O Messenger of Allah! What should I recite? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite {قُلْأَعُوذُبِرَبِّالْفَلَقِ}. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this surah until Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) recited it. But when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that he was not very pleased with this surah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It seems you consider it insignificant; you have not recited a surah like this in prayer (meaning this is an unparalleled surah to be recited in prayer).

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept his sword Zulfiqar as a gift (or from the spoils of war) on the day of the Battle of Badr. This is the same sword about which you saw a dream on the day of Uhud, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw a notch in my sword Zulfiqar; its interpretation is that you will face defeat. I saw that I had mounted a ram behind me; I interpreted this as the brave one of the army will be martyred. I saw that I was wearing a secure coat of mail; I interpreted this as Madinah will remain protected. I saw that a cow was being slaughtered; by Allah, this is better. Whatever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, that is exactly what happened.
