بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهَا لِجِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَسَلامُهُ عَلَيْهَا وَمَا وَرَدَ فِي فَضْلِهَا
Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Her Seeing Jibril (peace be upon him), His Greeting Her, and What Has Been Reported Regarding Her Virtue
Hadith 11439
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَدَيْهِ عَلَى مَعْرَفَةِ فَرَسٍ وَهُوَ يُكَلِّمُ رَجُلًا قُلْتُ رَأَيْتُكَ وَاضِعًا يَدَيْكَ عَلَى مَعْرَفَةِ فَرَسِ دِحْيَةَ الْكَلْبِيِّ وَأَنْتَ تُكَلِّمُهُ قَالَ ”وَرَأَيْتِ“ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ ”ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَهُوَ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ“ قَالَتْ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ جَزَاهُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ صَاحِبٍ وَدَخِيلٍ فَنِعْمَ الصَّاحِبُ وَنِعْمَ الدَّخِيلُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الدَّخِيلُ الضَّيْفُ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) talking to a man with his hand placed on the neck of a horse. I said, "I saw you talking to someone with your hand placed on the neck of Dihya Kalbi's horse." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said, "Did you see that?" I replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said, "That was Jibreel (Gabriel), and he was conveying greetings of peace to you." I replied, "And peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon him. May Allah reward this companion and guest with goodness; he is the best companion and the best guest." Imam Ahmad's teacher, Imam Sufyan bin Uyaynah, explained that "al-dakhil" means guest.
Hadith 11440
(وَعَنْهَا مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ“ فَقُلْتُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ تَرَى مَا لَا نَرَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
(Second chain) Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: O Aisha! This is Jibreel (peace be upon him), and he is conveying greetings of peace to you. I said: Upon you and upon him be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. O Messenger of Allah! You see what we cannot see.
Hadith 11441
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ فَضْلَ عَائِشَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ كَفَضْلِ الثَّرِيدِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطَّعَامِ“
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The superiority of Aisha over all other women is like the superiority of tharid over all other foods.
Hadith 11442
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”فَضْلُ عَائِشَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ كَفَضْلِ الثَّرِيدِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطَّعَامِ“
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aisha has superiority over all other women just as tharid has superiority over all other foods."
Hadith 11443
عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”كَمُلَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ كَثِيرٌ وَلَمْ يَكْمُلْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ غَيْرُ مَرْيَمَ بِنْتِ عِمْرَانَ وَآسِيَةَ امْرَأَةِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَإِنَّ فَضْلَ عَائِشَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ كَفَضْلِ الثَّرِيدِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطَّعَامِ“
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Many men have attained the rank of perfection, but among women, only Maryam bint Imran and Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh, have reached the rank of perfection. And Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has superiority over all other women just as tharid has superiority over all other foods.
