Chapter
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي حِظُوَتِهَا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَحُبِّهِ إِيَّاهَا وَإِجَابَةِ طَلَبِهَا فِي غَيْرِ مَحْظُورٍ
Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Her Status With the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, His Love for Her, and Granting Her Requests in Permissible Matters
Hadith 11419
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَيُّ النَّاسِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قُلْتُ فَمِنَ الرِّجَالِ قَالَتْ أَبُوهَا
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Shaqiq, he says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Who was the most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" She said: "Aisha." I asked: "Among the men?" She said: "Her father."
Hadith 11420
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيُهَوِّنُ عَلَيَّ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ كَفِّ عَائِشَةَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ
Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is a source of comfort for me that I saw the radiance of Aisha’s (may Allah be pleased with her) palm in Paradise.
Hadith 11421
عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَتْ لَهُ هَدِيَّةٌ فِيهَا قِلَادَةٌ مِنْ جَزْعٍ فَقَالَ ”لَأَدْفَعَنَّهَا إِلَى أَحَبِّ أَهْلِي إِلَيَّ“ فَقَالَتِ النِّسَاءُ ذَهَبَتْ بِهَا ابْنَةُ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ فَعَلَّقَهَا فِي عُنُقِهَا
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a gift was presented to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and among it was a necklace of Yemeni pearls. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will give this necklace to the one among my family who is most beloved to me." The women thought that this necklace would be taken by the daughter of Abu Quhafa, that is, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called his granddaughter, Sayyida Umamah bint Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), and placed the necklace around her neck.
Hadith 11422
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ فَيَعْدِلُ وَيَقُولُ ”هَذِهِ قِسْمَتِي“ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ ”اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا فِعْلِي فِيمَا أَمْلِكُ فَلَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ وَلَا أَمْلِكُ“
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to divide justly among his wives and then would say: This is my division, O Allah! This is my division and this is within my power, so do not blame me in that which You own and I do not own.
Hadith 11423
عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَدَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فِي شَيْءٍ فَقَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ يَا عَائِشَةُ أَرْضِي عَنِّي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِ يَوْمِي فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَتْ خِمَارًا لَهَا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ فَرَشَّتْهُ بِالْمَاءِ لِيَفُوحَ رِيحُهُ فَقَعَدَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِلَيْكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَوْمَكِ“ قَالَتْ {ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ} [سورة الجمعة: 4] وَأَخْبَرَتْهُ بِالْأَمْرِ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became displeased with Sayyida Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her). She came to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said to her, "Please reconcile the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with me, and I will give you my turn." She said, "Alright." So she took her saffron-dyed scarf, sprinkled water on it so that its fragrance would spread, and then went and sat beside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Aisha! Move away, today is not your turn." But the lady recited this verse in response: {ذَلِکَ فَضْلُ اللّٰہِ یُؤْتِیہِ مَنْیَشَائُ} … "This is the bounty of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills." Then she told the whole matter to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he became pleased with Sayyida Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Hadith 11424
عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كُلُّ نِسَائِكَ لَهَا كُنْيَةٌ غَيْرِي فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”اكْتَنِي أَنْتِ أُمَّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ“ فَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ وَلَمْ تَلِدْ قَطُّ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! All your other wives have a kunyah (honorific title). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: You may take the kunyah "Umm Abdullah." Thus, she continued to be called Umm Abdullah, even though she passed away without having given birth to any child.
