Fath al-Rabbani
Chapter
وَهِيَ الثَّالِثَهُ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ¤بَابٌ فِي تَارِيخِ الْعَقْدِ عَلَيْهَا وَالْبَنَاءِ بِهَا وَكَمْ كَانَ عُمَرُهَا وَقِصَّةِ زِفَافِهَا
She Is the Third of His Wives—Chapter on the History of Her Marriage Contract, Consummation, Her Age, and the Story of Her Wedding
Hadith 11407
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي شَوَّالٍ وَأُدْخِلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي شَوَّالٍ فَأَيُّ نِسَائِهِ كَانَ أَحْظَى عِنْدَهُ مِنِّي فَكَانَتْ تَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ نِسَاؤُهَا فِي شَوَّالٍ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me in the month of Shawwal and I was sent to his house in the same month of Shawwal. So which of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was more esteemed in his eyes than me? Thus, Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) used to prefer marrying the women of her family in the month of Shawwal.
Hadith 11408
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ وَمَاتَ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, she was nine years old, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, Sayyida (may Allah be pleased with her) was eighteen years old.
Hadith 11409
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَفَّى خَدِيجَةَ قَبْلَ مَخْرَجِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بِسَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ جَاءَتْنِي نِسْوَةٌ وَأَنَا أَلْعَبُ فِي أُرْجُوحَةٍ وَأَنَا مُجَمَّمَةٌ فَذَهَبْنَ بِي فَهَيَّأْنَنِي وَصَنَعْنَنِي ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَ بِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَنَى بِي وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her after the death of Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), two or three years before the migration to Madinah, while her age was seven years. When we came to Madinah, some women came to me while I was swinging on a swing and my hair was down to my shoulders. Those women took me, prepared and adorned me, and then brought me to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and my marriage was consummated. At that time, my age was nine years.
