5 hadith
Hadith 11317
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We reached the place of Hudaybiyyah along with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); our number was fourteen hundred. There was so little water there that it could not even suffice for fifty goats. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat at the edge of the well, supplicated, or put his saliva into it, and then the water of that well began to gush forth. Thus, we drank and gave others to drink.
Hadith 11318
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We reached the place of Hudaybiyyah and there was a well there, whose water was about to finish. Our number was fourteen hundred. A bucket of water was drawn from the well. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took some water from it, rinsed his mouth, and put it back into the well and also supplicated. Then we drank to our fill from the water and gave others to drink as well.
Hadith 11319
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we reached a well in which there was very little water. Five men went down into the well to draw water, and I was the sixth. A bucket was lowered to us in the well. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present at the edge of the well. We filled the bucket halfway or two-thirds with water, and then it was pulled up towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I tried to pour some water into my vessel to moisten my throat, but I could not get even that little water. The bucket was pulled up towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he dipped his hand into it and prayed to Allah Almighty, then the bucket with the water was sent back down to us into the well. By its blessing, so much water appeared in the well that, out of fear of drowning, each of us had to be tied with cloth and taken out, and after that, it began to flow like a stream.
Hadith 11320
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the noble companions. They had a vessel for ablution, in which there was only a handful of water. When the sun became very intense, that is, the heat increased, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came before the people. The people said: O Messenger of Allah! We are dying from the severity of thirst, our necks are breaking. He said: Today, destruction will not befall you. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Abu Qatadah! Bring the vessel for ablution. I presented that vessel to him, he said: Bring my small cup. I opened it and brought it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he poured water into it and began to give it to the people to drink. The people gathered around him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O people! Adopt good manners when taking water, each of you will return fully quenched. All the people drank plenty of water, only the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and I were left. He poured water into the cup for me and said: Abu Qatadah! Drink. I said: O Messenger of Allah! You drink first. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who serves drinks last. Then I drank, then after me he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank, and the amount of water in the ablution vessel remained almost the same. That day, the number of companions was three hundred.
Hadith 11321
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aiz bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the water was little. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution in a bowl or an open vessel. We took water from it and performed a brief ablution. Among us, the fortunate one was he who got some of that water. We think that everyone received some of the water. After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in prayer at the time of Duha (forenoon).
