Hadith 11292
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that his camel became exhausted, sat down, and was unable to walk any further. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him and asked: "Jabir! What is the matter?" He told the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) the whole story. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) dismounted from his own ride and went towards Sayyiduna Jabir’s (may Allah be pleased with him) camel and said: "Jabir! Mount it." He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! It does not even stand up." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Just mount it." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted the camel, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) struck the camel with his foot, and it sprang up. If Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) had not controlled and held the camel, he would have fallen down from above. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "Now go and reach your family. When you get home, you will find that they have prepared such and such things for you." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) even mentioned the bedding. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(In the house) one bed is for the man, one for his wife, the third for the guest, and the fourth is for the devil."
