It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a camel belonging to a family of the Ansar, upon which they used to load water and irrigate their crops. The camel became unruly and refused to carry any load on its back. They came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! We had a camel upon which we used to bring water to irrigate our crops, but now it has become stubborn and rebellious and does not allow any load to be placed on its back. Our fields and date trees are drying up. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions: Stand up. They stood up, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the garden. The camel was in a corner of the garden. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) walked towards it. The Ansar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Prophet of Allah! It has become mad like a rabid dog. We fear that it might attack you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have no fear from it. When the camel saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it rushed towards him and prostrated before him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of the hair on its forehead, and it became extremely obedient and submissive, to the extent that he (peace and blessings be upon him) put it to work. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Messenger of Allah! This senseless animal prostrates before you, while we are intelligent and have more right to prostrate to you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to prostrate before any human being. If it were permissible for a human to prostrate before another human, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband, because the husband has many rights over her. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! If the husband were covered from head to toe with sores, and blood and pus were oozing from them, and the wife came and licked them clean, even then she would not have fulfilled the right of her husband.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we returned from a journey in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When we reached near a garden of Banu Najjar, there was a rebellious camel there; whenever any camel entered the garden, it would attack it. The Ansar mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) went into the garden and called the camel. It came and placed its lips on the ground and sat down before him (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring its halter." He (peace and blessings be upon him) tied its rope and placed it on its head, and handed the camel over to its owner. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to the people and said: "Everything between the heavens and the earth knows about me that I am the Messenger of Allah, except the rebellious and disobedient jinn and humans."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the family of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a wild animal. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would go out, it would play, jump, and run back and forth. But when it sensed the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it would become calm. Then, as long as he (peace and blessings be upon him) remained in the house, it would not make any movement, lest it cause any discomfort to him (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on a journey. When we reached the valley of Harr and returned from there, I was riding on a camel. After that, it started running fast. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was loudly calling out among the acacia trees: "O bride! O bride!" and I was hearing your (peace and blessings be upon him) voice. By Allah! I was in that very state when someone called out to me and told me to throw down its rein. I threw down the rein, and Allah Almighty entangled that rein in the front legs of the camel (and it stopped).

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) commanded us to dig the trench. During the digging, a rock appeared at a certain spot where the pickaxes would not work. The noble Companions complained about it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came, and Sayyiduna ‘Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I think that Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) also stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came and put his garment aside and went towards the rock. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) took the pickaxe, recited “Bismillah,” and struck it forcefully; one third of the rock broke off. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) proclaimed loudly: “Allahu Akbar! I have been given the keys of Syria. By Allah! At this moment, from this very place, I am seeing the red palaces of that land.” Then he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) again recited “Bismillah” and struck the pickaxe again, and another third of the rock broke off. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) loudly said “Allahu Akbar!” and said: “I have been given the keys of Persia. By Allah! I am seeing Mada’in and its white palace from this very place at this moment.” Then he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) recited “Bismillah” and struck the pickaxe a third time, and the remaining rock shattered into pieces. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) loudly said “Allahu Akbar!” and said: “I have been given the keys of Yemen, and at this moment, from this very place, I am seeing the gates of Sana’a.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the noble Companions dug the trench for three days without eating anything. During the digging, the Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! Here is a rocky boulder. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sprinkle water on it. The Companions sprinkled water on it. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, picked up the pickaxe, and said: In the name of Allah. He struck the boulder three times with the pickaxe, and it shattered into pieces. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Suddenly my gaze fell and I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had tied a stone to his blessed stomach.
