It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ali bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I have witnessed three such things from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) which neither anyone before me has seen nor will anyone after me be able to witness. Once, I was traveling with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). During the journey, he passed by a woman sitting by the roadside, who had a (small) child with her. She said: O Messenger of Allah! Jinn have afflicted this child, and because of this we are greatly troubled; he has fits several times a day. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring him to me. She lifted the child and placed him between the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the wooden saddle. The Prophet opened the child’s mouth, blew into it three times with some saliva, and recited this supplication: BISMILLAH, ANA ABDULLAH, IKHSA’ ADUWWALLAH. (In the name of Allah, I am the servant of Allah, so be disappointed, O enemy of Allah.) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) handed the child back to the woman and said: Meet us here on your return and tell us what happened. Sayyiduna ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We went ahead, and when we returned, we found the woman at the same place. She had three goats with her. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: How is your child? She said: By Allah, Who has sent you with the truth! Since that time, we have not noticed anything (wrong). Please accept these goats as a gift. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Dismount and take one goat, and return the rest. In another narration: She presented two rams, some cheese, and some ghee to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Keep the cheese, ghee, and one ram, and return the other ram. Sayyiduna ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: One day I went out towards the wilderness (desert). When we reached an open place, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May you be blessed, look for something that can serve as a screen for me (while relieving myself). I said: I do not see anything except a tree, and I do not think it can serve as a screen for you. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What is near it? I said: There is another tree like it, or I said: There is another tree nearby. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go to those trees and say: The Messenger of Allah commands you to come together by Allah’s command. Sayyiduna ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Upon hearing this, the two trees joined together, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) relieved himself behind them and then returned and said: Go to those trees and say to them: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commands you both to return to your places. So they returned to their places. Sayyiduna ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: One day I was sitting in the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a camel came running and placed the lower part of its neck on the ground before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and tears began to flow from its eyes. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May you be blessed, find out whose camel this is; it has some matter. I went out in search of its owner; it belonged to an Ansari. I brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What complaint does your camel have? He said: What complaint does it have? I do not know what complaint it has. We have been working it and carrying water on it, but now it is unable to carry water, so yesterday we decided to slaughter it and distribute its meat. The Prophet said: Do not do so; either gift this camel to me or sell it to me. He said: O Messenger of Allah! It is yours, you may keep it. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) marked it with the charity camels’ mark of the treasury and sent it there.

(Second chain) This hadith is also narrated similar to the previous hadith, but with some additional detail as follows: A camel came and placed its chest on the ground, and then it produced so much foam that the surrounding area became wet. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked: Do you know what this camel is saying? It is saying that its owner wants to slaughter it. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent a message to its owner. When he arrived, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: Do you gift this camel to me? He replied: O Messenger of Allah! This is the most beloved of all my possessions to me. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Well then, I command you to treat it well. He said: Alright, O Messenger of Allah! Of all my wealth, I will honor it the most. Sayyiduna Ya’la, may Allah be pleased with him, says: The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a grave, and the person in the grave was being punished. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: He is not being punished because of any difficult task. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered a stick to be placed on his grave, so it was placed. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is hoped that as long as this remains moist, his punishment will be lightened.

(Third chain of narration) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I witnessed three incidents with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Once, we were walking with him and passed by a camel that was being used to carry water for irrigating crops. When the camel saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it began to foam at the mouth and (sat down and) placed its neck on the ground. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood by it and asked: Where is the owner of this camel? When he came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell me this camel. He said: I will not sell it to you, but I will gift it to you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather sell it to me. He said: No, I will not sell it, but we gift it to you in your name. That camel belonged to a family who had no other means of livelihood besides it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What you have mentioned about it is correct, but the fact is that it has complained of excessive work and lack of grass, so treat it kindly. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: After that, we moved on and stopped at a place. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell asleep. We saw that a tree came, splitting the earth, and covered him, then returned to its place. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, I mentioned this incident to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That tree sought permission from its Lord, the Exalted, to greet the Messenger of Allah, and it was granted permission. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We moved on and passed by a spring (or pond) of water. A woman came with her son, who was possessed by jinn. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held the boy’s nose and said: Come out, I am Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (commanding you). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Then we moved on, and when we returned from the journey and passed by that spring or pond, that woman came with a fat, healthy goat and some milk. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the goat be returned and instructed the companions to drink the milk. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her about the boy, and she replied: By the One Who sent you with the truth! After you, we have not seen any sign of illness in him.

(Fourth Chain) Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I think that among the things I have seen from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), others have seen only a few of them. Then he mentioned the incident of the child, the two dates, and the camel. However, in this narration, it is stated that the Prophet said to the owner of the camel: What is the matter, this camel is complaining about you? It is saying that you kept making it work by loading water on it, and now that it has become old, you want to slaughter it. He said: By the One Who has sent you as a Prophet with the truth! What you have said is indeed true, this is exactly my intention. By Allah, Who has sent you with the truth! I will not slaughter it.

It is narrated from Sulaiman bin Amr bin Ahwas Azdi, who says: My mother told me that she saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stoning the Jamrah of Aqabah. After that, he moved forward and a woman came to him carrying her child and said: O Messenger of Allah! My son is insane, please pray to Allah Almighty for him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to her: Bring water. She brought water in a stone vessel, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, put his saliva into it and washed his face over the vessel, so that the water dripped down into it. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recited a supplication over the vessel and said: Go, bathe the child with this water and pray to Allah Almighty for healing. I said to her: Give me a little of this water so that I may give it to my son to drink. Then I took a little of the water with my finger and applied it to my son's lips. As a result, he became the most virtuous of all. After that, I asked the woman about her son, how he was. She told me that he had become completely well.

He said: Certainly, show me. The Prophet looked at a date-palm tree and said: Call that date-palm tree. He called it, and it came leaping and stood before the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it to return, so it went back to its place. Then that man from Banu Amir said: O people of Banu Amir! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Allah has made you the owner of this animal. Do you not fear Allah regarding it? It has complained to me that you keep it hungry and make it work too hard.
