Hadith 11246
عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أُعْطِيتُ مَا لَمْ يُعْطَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ“ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا هُوَ قَالَ ”نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُعْطِيتُ مَفَاتِيحَ الْأَرْضِ وَسُمِّيتُ أَحْمَدَ وَجُعِلَ التُّرَابُ لِي طَهُورًا وَجُعِلَتْ أُمَّتِي خَيْرَ الْأُمَمِ“
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been given things which were not given to any prophet. We asked: O Messenger of Allah! What are those? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been helped with awe, the keys of the earth have been given to me, my name has been kept Ahmad, the earth has been made a purifier for me, and my Ummah has been made the best of all communities.
Hadith 11247
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أُوتِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُؤْتَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ كَانَ قَبْلِي نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ فَيُرْعَبُ مِنِّي الْعَدُوُّ عَنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرٍ وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ كَانَ قَبْلِي وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ وَقِيلَ لِي سَلْ تُعْطَهْ فَاخْتَبَأْتُهَا شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي وَهِيَ نَائِلَةٌ مِنْكُمْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَنْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا“ قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ فَكَانَ مُجَاهِدٌ يَرَى أَنَّ الْأَحْمَرَ الْإِنْسَ وَالْأَسْوَدَ الْجِنَّ
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been granted five such distinctions that were not given to any prophet before me: I have been helped by awe and fear (cast into the hearts of the enemy), so that the enemy is overawed by me from a distance of one month's journey. The entire earth has been made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me, whereas they were not lawful for any prophet before me. I have been sent as a messenger to all people, both red and black. I was told: Ask for whatever you wish, it will be granted to you, but I have reserved this supplication for intercession for my Ummah in the Hereafter. If Allah wills, anyone among you who does not associate partners with Allah will benefit from this supplication (intercession). A’mash, the narrator, says that Mujahid used to say: By "red and black," red refers to humans and black refers to jinn.
Hadith 11248
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي وَلَا أَقُولُهُنَّ فَخْرًا بُعِثْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَأُعْطِيتُ الشَّفَاعَةَ فَأَخَّرْتُهَا لِأُمَّتِي فَهِيَ لِمَنْ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Five such characteristics have been granted to me which were not given to any prophet before me. I do not mention this out of pride, but as a blessing and favor from Allah. I have been sent to all people, both red and black. My awe and majesty have been cast upon the enemy from a distance of one month's journey, thus aiding me. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me, whereas before me, the spoils were not made lawful for anyone. The entire earth has been made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me. And I have been granted the authority of intercession, and I have deferred this supplication for those in my Ummah who will not commit shirk with Allah.
Hadith 11249
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى بِنَحْوِهِ وَفِيهِ ”وَأُعْطِيتُ الشَّفَاعَةَ وَلَيْسَ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ سَأَلَ شَفَاعَةً وَإِنِّي أَخْبَأْتُ شَفَاعَتِي ثُمَّ جَعَلْتُهَا لِمَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَمْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), (this hadith is similar to the previous hadith), however, in this it is stated: I have been granted the authority of intercession, and every prophet has already exercised his intercession during his lifetime, but I have kept my intercession hidden (i.e., preserved and deferred), now I will use this intercession for those people of my Ummah who did not associate anything with Allah.
Hadith 11250
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a similar hadith of the Prophet.
Hadith 11251
حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ أُوتِيَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَفَاتِيحَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ غَيْرَ الْخَمْسِ {إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ} [لقمان: 34] قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ خَمْسِينَ مَرَّةً
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Your Prophet was given the keys to everything except five things. These five things are: {إِنَّ اللّٰہَ عِنْدَہُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَۃِ وَیُنَزِّلُ الْغَیْثَ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا فِی الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِی نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَکْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِی نَفْسٌ بِأَیِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ، إِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلِیمٌ خَبِیرٌ} … Knowledge of the Hour is with Allah alone, He sends down the rain, He knows what is in the wombs, no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in which land he will die. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (Surah Luqman: 24) Amr bin Murrah says: I asked my teacher Abdullah bin Salamah whether he had heard this hadith directly from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him)? He said: Yes, I have heard it more than fifty times.
Hadith 11252
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”بُعِثْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ بِالسَّيْفِ حَتَّى يُعْبَدَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَجُعِلَ رِزْقِي تَحْتَ ظِلِّ رُمْحِي وَجُعِلَ الذُّلُّ وَالصِّغَارُ عَلَى مَنْ خَالَفَ أَمْرِي وَمَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ“
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been sent with the sword before the Hour, so that Allah alone may be worshipped, with no partner for Him. And my sustenance has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and humiliation and disgrace have been destined for the one who opposes my religion. And whoever imitates a people is counted among them.
Hadith 11253
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلَامِ وَبَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ جِيءَ بِمَفَاتِيحِ خَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ فَوُضِعَتْ فِي يَدِي“ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ لَقَدْ ذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْتَشِلُونَهَا
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been helped against the enemy through awe (instilled in their hearts) from me, I have been granted comprehensive words, I was asleep when the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought and placed in my hand. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has departed, and you are gathering those treasures.
Hadith 11254
عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَامًا فَأَخْبَرَنَا بِمَا يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَعَاهُ مَنْ عَاهُ وَنَسِيَهُ مَنْ نَسِيَهُ
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and described all the events that would occur in the Ummah until the Day of Judgment. Those who remembered, remembered, and those who forgot, forgot.
Hadith 11255
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ”إِنِّي نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا وَإِنَّ عَادًا أُهْلِكَتْ بِالدَّبُورِ“
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I was helped by the east wind. And the people of ‘Ad were destroyed by a violent wind coming from the west, that is, a severe storm.
Hadith 11256
قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”ثَلَاثٌ هُنَّ عَلَيَّ فَرْضٌ وَلَكُمْ تَطَوُّعٌ الْوِتْرُ وَالنَّحْرُ وَصَلَاةُ الضُّحَى“
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three acts are obligatory upon me and voluntary for you: Witr, sacrifice (Qurbani), and the Duha (forenoon) prayer.
Hadith 11257
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ وَفِي مُؤَخَّرِ الصُّفُوفِ رَجُلٌ فَأَسَاءَ الصَّلَاةَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ نَادَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”يَا فُلَانُ أَلَا تَتَّقِي اللَّهَ أَلَا تَرَى كَيْفَ تُصَلِّي إِنَّكُمْ تَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ يَخْفَى عَلَيَّ شَيْءٌ مِمَّا تَصْنَعُونَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَرَى مِنْ خَلْفِي كَمَا أَرَى مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ“
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Zuhr prayer. A man in the last row did not perform the prayer properly. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer with salam, he said to him: "O so-and-so! Do you not fear Allah? How do you perform the prayer? Do you think that what you do is hidden from me? By Allah! Just as I see in front of me, I also see behind me."
Hadith 11258
عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”أُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ التَّوْرَاةِ السَّبْعَ وَأُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ الزَّبُورِ الْمِئِينَ وَأُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ الْإِنْجِيلِ الْمَثَانِيَ وَفُضِّلْتُ بِالْمُفَصَّلِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In place of the Torah, I have been given the Seven Long Surahs (Sab’ Tiwal); in place of the Psalms (Zabur), the Mi’in; in place of the Gospel (Injil), the Mathani; and through the detailed Surahs (Mufassal), I have been given superiority over the rest of the Prophets.
Hadith 11259
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أُحِلَّ لَهُ النِّسَاءُ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that before the passing of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it was made permissible for him to marry more women.
Hadith 11260
(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ مَا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ أَنْ يَنْكِحَ مَا شَاءَ قُلْتُ عَمَّنْ تُؤْثِرُ هَذَا قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي حَسِبْتُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ
(Second chain) Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that before the passing of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Allah Almighty had granted him permission that he could marry as many women as he wished. I asked my Shaykh, "From whom do you narrate this?" He said, "I do not remember. I think I heard Ubaid bin Umair narrate this."
Hadith 11261
عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدُورُ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي السَّاعَةِ الْوَاحِدَةِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُنَّ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ وَهَلْ كَانَ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ أُعْطِيَ قُوَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would go to all of his wives (and fulfill the rights of marriage) within a single hour of the night or day, and at that time their number was eleven. I said to Sayyiduna Anas: Did the Prophet have such strength? He replied: We used to say among ourselves that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was given the strength of thirty men.
