Hadith 11131
عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ قِيلَ لِلْبَرَاءِ أَكَانَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيدًا هَكَذَا مِثْلَ السَّيْفِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ كَانَ مِثْلَ الْقَمَرِ
Abu Ishaq narrates that it was asked from Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the blessed face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was long and shining like a sword. He replied: No, rather it was radiant and round like the moon.
Hadith 11132
عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ شَمِطَ مُقَدَّمُ رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ فَإِذَا ادَّهَنَ وَمَشَطَ لَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ وَإِذَا شَعِثَ رَأْسُهُ تَبَيَّنَ وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ الشَّعْرِ وَاللِّحْيَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَجْهُهُ مِثْلُ السَّيْفِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ كَانَ مِثْلَ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ مُسْتَدِيرًا قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُ خَاتَمَهُ عِنْدَ كَتِفِهِ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ يُشْبِهُ جَسَدَهُ
It is narrated from Simak that he heard Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the hair of the beard and the front part of the head of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had started turning white. When he applied oil and combed them, their color would not be apparent, but when he had not applied oil nor combed them, the white hairs would become prominent. The hair of his head and beard were thick. A man asked, "Was your face long and shining like a sword?" But Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "No, it was not like a sword, rather it was bright and round like the sun and the moon." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I saw the Seal of Prophethood near his shoulder; it was similar to the rest of the body and the size of a pigeon’s egg."
Hadith 11133
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ شَعْرُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ أُذُنَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was long up to the middle of his ears.
Hadith 11134
قَالَ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَعْرٌ يُصِيبُ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ يَضْرِبُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrated that the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was long enough to reach his shoulders.
Hadith 11135
عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنْ شَعْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ شَعْرُهُ رَجِلًا لَيْسَ بِالْجَعْدِ وَلَا بِالسَّبْطِ كَانَ بَيْنَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَعَاتِقِهِ
Qatadah says: I asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: His hair was neither very curly nor completely straight, rather it was somewhat wavy. His hair would be between his shoulders and his ears.
Hadith 11136
عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَنَسًا سُئِلَ عَنْ شَعَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُ شَعْرًا أَشْبَهَ بِشَعْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شَعَرِ قَتَادَةَ فَفَرِحَ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَتَادَةُ
It is narrated from Humaid that when Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: I have not seen anyone's hair resembling the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) more than Qatadah's hair. On that day, Qatadah was extremely happy.
Hadith 11137
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ شَعْرُهُ أُذُنَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the hair of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, in length did not extend beyond his ears.
Hadith 11138
عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ ذِي لِمَّةٍ أَحْسَنَ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ شَعْرٌ يَضْرِبُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ بَعِيدَ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ لَيْسَ بِالْقَصِيرِ وَلَا بِالطَّوِيلِ
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I have not seen anyone more handsome than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) among those whose hair reached their shoulders and who wore red clothing. The Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) hair would reach his shoulders, there was a slight gap between his shoulders, meaning his chest was broad, and his height was neither very short nor very tall.
Hadith 11139
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ شَعْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ دُونَ الْجُمَّةِ وَفَوْقَ الْوَفْرَةِ
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was above the shoulders and below the ears.
Hadith 11140
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كُنْتُ إِذَا فَرَقْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ صَدَعْتُ فَرْقَهُ عَنْ يَافُوخِهِ وَأَرْسَلْتُ نَاصِيَتَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: When I used to part the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I would divide the hair on his head into two sections from the top of his head, and I would leave the hair of the forehead between his eyes, that is, on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 11141
عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْضِبُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ وَكَانَ شَعْرُهُ يَبْلُغُ كَتِفَيْهِ أَوْ مَنْكِبَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to dye his hair with henna and katam, and his hair would reach his shoulders.
Hadith 11142
عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ مَرَّةً وَلَهُ أَرْبَعُ غَدَائِرَ
Sayyida Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) had four rams.
