It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day, when the sun had declined, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Zuhr prayer. After completing the prayer with salam, he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on the pulpit and mentioned the Day of Judgment and the major events that will occur until the Day of Judgment. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever wants to ask about anything, let him ask. By Allah! As long as I am in this place, whatever you ask me, I will tell you about it. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) states that when people heard these words from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), everyone wept profusely, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating: Ask me, ask me. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a man stood up and asked: O Messenger of Allah! What will be my fate in the Hereafter? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Hell. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! This was said by you (peace and blessings be upon him) in a limited manner, that as long as I am present in this place, I will answer your questions. Obviously, you were told to inform people to a certain extent. This does not prove that you possess knowledge of the unseen, because this is an attribute of Allah, which is indicated by many Qur’anic texts, and from many incidents and hadiths, it is negated regarding you. This is not the place for detail. (Abdullah Rafiq) Who is my father? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Hudhafah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying repeatedly: Ask, and ask. Seeing this state, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down on his knees and said: We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as our Messenger. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Just now, while I was leading the prayer, Paradise and Hell were presented before me on this wall, and in terms of good and bad, I have never seen a day like today.
