Sayyida Umm Fadl bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the mother of the children of Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and the sister of Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: She says, I came to serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the days of his final illness. Seeing the condition of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his blessed head and said: Why are you weeping? I replied: We fear your separation, O Messenger of Allah! After you, which people will we have to face? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After me, you will be considered extremely weak.

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) called his daughter Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) and said something to her in secret, at which she began to weep. Then, after that, he again said something to her in the same manner, and she smiled. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I asked Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her), "What did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) say to you in secret that made you weep, and then what did he say to you in secret that made you laugh?" She replied: "He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) quietly informed me of his passing, so I began to weep. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) quietly told me that among his family, I would be the first to join him, so upon hearing this, I laughed."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that Allah Almighty began a long series of revelations to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, before his passing, until he, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away. On the day he, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, the most revelations were sent down to him, peace and blessings be upon him.
