Hadith 10674

It is narrated from Shahr bin Hawshab that one day he went to the house of a woman from the tribe of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, Sayyida Asma bint Yazid bin Sakan (may Allah be pleased with her). She presented food before him, but he said that he had no desire to eat. She said: I had prepared Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) at the time of her marriage when she was being sent to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and called him to meet Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). He came and sat beside her. A bowl of milk was presented. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, and then he gave the remainder to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She lowered her head and felt shy. Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I scolded Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said, “Take the bowl from the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).” So she took the bowl and drank a little from it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): “Give it to your friend.” Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! You take it and drink, and then grant it to me.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the bowl, drank a little from it, and then handed it to me. She says: I sat down, placed it on my knee, and began to turn it around and put my lips on it so that my lips would touch the blessed spot where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his mouth and drank. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards the women present there and said, “Give it to them as well.” But they said, “We have no need.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not combine lying and hunger. Will you not refrain from saying, ‘I have no need’?” I said, “O mother! I will not say so in the future.”
Hadith 10675
It is narrated from Imam Nafi that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Muslims migrated to Madinah Munawwarah, they used to gather and wait for the time of prayer, and at that time there was no one to give the adhan. One day the companions began to discuss this matter. Some said, "Make a bell like the Christians' bell." Some said, "There should not be a bell, but rather appoint a horn like the Jews have." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Why don't you do it this way: send someone to announce the prayer?" So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Bilal! Get up and announce the prayer."
Hadith 10676
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that in Makkah, two rak‘ahs of prayer were made obligatory. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah Munawwarah, two more rak‘ahs were added to each prayer, except for Maghrib, because it is the odd prayer of the day, and except for Fajr prayer, because its recitation is lengthy. And it was the practice of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that when he set out on a journey, he would perform the prayer as he used to do before.
