Hadith 10621
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) migrated, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was his companion on the mount. On the way, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) would be recognized, because he used to pass by the people of that route when traveling to and from Syria. Therefore, people asked: O Abu Bakr! Who is the man in front of you? He would say: He is my guide, leading me. When they approached Madinah Munawwarah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to the Muslims of the Ansari tribe and to Abu Umamah and his companions. Those people came and said: Both of you enter in peace and security. So they entered. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have not seen any day more radiant and beautiful than the day when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah. And since I was also present in Madinah at the time of his (peace and blessings be upon him) passing, I have not seen any day darker and more grievous than the day when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
Hadith 10622
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the Abyssinian people played with war instruments to express their happiness at his (peace and blessings be upon him) arrival.
Hadith 10623
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the people slaughtered a camel or a cow.
Hadith 10624
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I would run among the children and we would be saying: Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has come, so I would run, but no one would be seen. Then when I would hear the children saying: Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has come, I would run, but nothing would be seen. Eventually, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companion, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), arrived. At that time, we were in some of the harrahs of Madinah. Then a man sent us to inform the Ansar of the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). So about five hundred Ansar came and reached these two personalities and said: Both of you proceed forward in peace and security. Thus, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companion both headed towards Madinah Munawwarah. The people of Madinah came out from there, until even the virgin girls climbed onto the rooftops of the houses and began to say: Which one among them is Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? Which one among them is Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? On that day, we saw such a scene that (in joy and happiness) cannot be compared to anything else. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the day when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived, and I also saw the day when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away. So on that day too, I saw such a scene that (in grief and sorrow) cannot be compared to anything else.
Hadith 10625
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the Ansar drew lots among themselves to determine who would be the first to host the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The name of Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) was drawn, so he hosted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at his home. Then, whenever food was presented as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) would also be given a share. One day, when Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) entered, there was a bowl containing onions. He asked: What is this? The people replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent it. He went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: O Messenger of Allah! Why did you not eat from this bowl? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: I saw onions in it. I asked: Are they not lawful for us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Why not, you may eat them, but there comes to me (in the form of revelation and angels) that which does not come to you.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed with me, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the lower part of the house and Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) himself was in the upper part. One night, when Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up, he said: We are walking above the head of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So he changed his place and spent the night on one side. When morning came and this was told to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The lower floor is more convenient for me. But Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I will not climb on the roof under which is the Messenger of Allah. So Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the lower floor and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the upper floor. Since Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) used to prepare food for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he would send the food and it would return with some left, he would ask about the place where the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had touched. Then he would look for the marks of the Prophet’s fingers and eat from there. As usual, one day we prepared food, and it had garlic in it, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent the food back without eating it. Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) asked about the place of the Prophet’s fingers, but when he was told that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had not eaten at all, he went up to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is this forbidden? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I dislike it. He said: Then whatever you dislike, I will also dislike. In fact, revelation and angels used to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), (therefore the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not eat food with an unpleasant odor, such as onions, garlic, etc.).
