بَابُ مَا وَرَدَ فِي أُمُورٍ مُتَفَرِّقَةٍ تَتَعَلَّقُ بِالْإِسْرَاءِ والمعراج
Chapter: What has been reported regarding various matters related to Isra and Mi'raj
Hadith 10581
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِالْبُرَاقِ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ مُسَرَّجًا مُلَجَّمًا لِيَرْكَبَهُ فَاسْتَصْعَبَ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ مَا يَحْمِلُكَ عَلَى هَذَا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا رَكِبَكَ أَحَدٌ قَطُّ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَارْفَضَّ عَرَقًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the night of Isra, a Buraq was brought for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which had a saddle on it and a bridle was put on it. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was about to mount it, the Buraq became difficult for him. Jibreel (peace be upon him) said to it: What is making you behave like this? By Allah, never has such a personality ridden you who is more honored in the sight of Allah Almighty than him (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him). Then, out of embarrassment, it began to sweat.
Hadith 10582
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي أُتِيتُ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ وَقَدَحِ خَمْرٍ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِمَا فَأَخَذْتُ اللَّبَنَ فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَاكَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ لَوْ أَخَذْتَ الْخَمْرَ غَوَتْ أُمَّتُكَ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the night of Isra, a bowl of milk and a bowl of wine were brought to me. I looked at both of them and then took the milk. Jibreel (peace be upon him) said: All praise is due to Allah, who guided you to the natural disposition. If you had taken the wine, your ummah would have gone astray.
Hadith 10583
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَمَّا أُسْرِيَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْتَهَى بِهِ إِلَى سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى وَهِيَ فِي السَّمَاءِ السَّادِسَةِ إِلَيْهَا يَنْتَهِي مَا يُعْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا وَإِلَيْهَا يَنْتَهِي مَا يُهْبَطُ بِهِ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا فَيُقْبَضُ مِنْهَا قَالَ {إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى} [النجم: 16] قَالَ فَرَاشٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ فَأُعْطِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثًا أُعْطِيَ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ وَأُعْطِيَ خَوَاتِيمَ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَغُفِرَ لِمَنْ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ شَيْئًا الْمُقْحِمَاتُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken on the Night Journey (Isra), the end of his journey was at Sidrat al-Muntaha. This Sidrah is on the sixth heaven. Whatever ascends from the earth, its end is at this lote tree, and whatever descends from above, its end is also at this tree. Allah Almighty said: "When there covered the Sidrah that which covered it." (: Surah Najm: 16) By this are meant golden moths. There, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was given three things: five prayers, the last part of Surah al-Baqarah, and the major sins of that person from your Ummah were forgiven who did not associate anyone with Allah Almighty.
Hadith 10584
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رُفِعَتْ لِي سِدْرَةُ الْمُنْتَهَى فِي السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ نَبْقُهَا مِثْلُ قِلَالِ هَجَرَ وَوَرَقُهَا مِثْلُ آذَانِ الْفِيلَةِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ سَاقِهَا نَهْرَانِ ظَاهِرَانِ وَنَهْرَانِ بَاطِنَانِ فَقُلْتُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَا هَذَانِ قَالَ أَمَّا الْبَاطِنَانِ فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَمَّا الظَّاهِرَانِ فَالنِّيلُ وَالْفُرَاتُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Sidrat al-Muntaha was raised for me in the seventh heaven; its fruit was like the jars of Hajar and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. From its trunk, two apparent rivers and two hidden rivers were flowing. I said: O Jibril! What are these two things? He said: The two hidden rivers are going into Paradise, and these two apparent rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates.
Hadith 10585
عَنْهُ أَيْضًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى السِّدْرَةِ فَإِذَا نَبْقُهَا مِثْلُ الْجِرَارِ وَإِذَا وَرَقُهَا مِثْلُ آذَانِ الْفِيلَةِ فَلَمَّا غَشِيَهَا مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ مَا غَشِيَهَا تَحَوَّلَتْ يَاقُوتًا أَوْ زُمُرُّدًا أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When I reached the Sidrah (Lote Tree), I saw that its fruit was like large jars and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. When the command of Allah Almighty covered it, it turned into rubies, emeralds, or pearls of that kind.
