بَابُ فِي أَمْرِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَيَّهُ الله بِاظْهَارِ الدَّعْوَةِ والصدع بها وَمَا لَا قَاهُ مِنْ إِبْدَاءِ كُفَّارِ قُرَيْشٍ لَهُ وتعديهم المُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِمَّنْ أَسْلَمُوا مَعَهُ
Chapter: On Allah Almighty's command to him to proclaim the message openly, what he faced from the Quraysh disbelievers, and their persecution of the weak among those who accepted Islam with him

Hadith 10511
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُرَيْشًا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ جَعَلَ يَدْعُو بُطُونَ قُرَيْشٍ بَطْنًا بَطْنًا فَقَالَ ((يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبَلَالِهَا))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when this verse was revealed: "And warn your nearest relatives," the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called the Quraysh, gave a general call and also a specific call. In one narration, it is mentioned: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called each family of the Quraysh specifically and said: O assembly of Quraysh! Save yourselves from the Fire. O assembly of Banu Ka'b bin Lu'ayy! Save yourselves from the Fire. O assembly of Banu 'Abd Manaf! Save yourselves from the Fire. O assembly of Banu Hashim! Save yourselves from the Fire. O assembly of Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Fatimah bint Muhammad! Save yourself from the Fire. By Allah! Verily, I do not possess anything from Allah for you, except that you have ties of kinship with me, which I will maintain.
Hadith 10512
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّفَا فَصَعِدَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ نَادَى يَا صَبَاحَاهْ فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ بَيْنَ رَجُلٍ يَجِيءُ وَبَيْنَ رَجُلٍ يَبْعَثُ رَسُولَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ يَا بَنِي فِهْرٍ يَا بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنَّ خَيْلًا بِسَفْحِ هَذَا الْجَبَلِ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُغِيرَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَدَّقْتُمُونِي قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنِّي نَذِيرٌ لَكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ)) فَقَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ تَبًّا لَكَ سَائِرَ الْيَوْمِ أَمَا دَعَوْتَنَا إِلَّا لِهَذَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ}
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he says: When Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "And warn your close relatives," the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to the hill of Safa and, having climbed it, called out: "Ya Sabahah!" So people gathered around him, some came themselves and some sent their messengers. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Banu Abdul Muttalib! O Banu Fihr! O Banu Lu'ayy! What do you think, if I were to inform you that there is an army at the foot of this mountain intending to launch a sudden attack on you, would you believe me?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Then I am a warner to you before a severe punishment." Upon hearing this, Abu Lahab said: "May you perish for the rest of the day! Did you call us together for this purpose?" At this, Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!"
Hadith 10513
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَا صَفِيَّةُ عَمَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَيَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ اشْتَرِيَا أَنْفُسَكُمَا مِنَ اللَّهِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْكُمَا مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا سَلَانِي مِنْ مَالِي مَا شِئْتُمَا))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Banu Abdul Muttalib! Save yourselves from Allah by your own actions. O Safiyyah! (the Prophet’s aunt), O Fatimah bint Muhammad! Save your own souls from Allah. I will not be able to avail you anything before Allah. However, you may ask me whatever you wish from my wealth.
