بَابُ قِصَّةِ خُزَاعَةً وَخُرُوجِ وَلَايَةِ البَيتِ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى قُضَى بن كِلابِ وَخَيْرِ عُمَرِو بْنِ لَّحَى وَعِبَادَةِ الْأَصْنَامِ
Chapter: The story of Khuza'ah and the transfer of the custodianship of the House from them to Qusay bin Kilab, the story of Amr bin Luhayy, and idol worship
Hadith 10445
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ سَيَّبَ السَّوَائِبَ وَعَبَدَ الْأَصْنَامَ أَبُو خُزَاعَةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَامِرٍ وَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ يَجُرُّ أَمْعَاءَهُ فِي النَّارِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The first person to set free she-camels in fulfillment of vows made to other than Allah, and to worship idols, was 'Amr bin 'Amir; he is the forefather of the Khuza'ah tribe. I saw him dragging his intestines in Hell.
Hadith 10446
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ يَجُرُّ قُصْبَهُ فِي النَّارِ وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ سَيَّبَ السَّائِبَةَ وَبَحَرَ الْبَحِيرَةَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw Amr bin Amir Khuza'i dragging his intestines in the Fire; he was the first person who set free she-camels in fulfillment of vows made to other than Allah, and who cut the ears of she-camels and let them loose.
