Hadith 10441
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about Saba: was it a man, a woman, or the name of a land? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: He was a man, he had ten children, among them six settled in Yemen and four in Syria. The Yemenis are: Madhhij, Kindah, Azd, Ash'ari, Anmar, and Himyar; all of these were Arabs. And the Syrians are: Lakhm, Juzam, Amilah, and Ghassan.
Hadith 10442
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Urwah bin Masik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Can I take the Muslims from my tribe and fight against those from my tribe who have not accepted Islam? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, absolutely, take the Muslims from your tribe and fight against the disbelievers from your tribe. Then, when I was about to leave, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me back and said: Do not fight them until you have invited them to Islam. Then I said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about Saba’? Is it the name of a valley or a mountain? What is it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather it was a man, and he had ten sons. Six of them settled in Yemen and four in Syria. Those who settled in Yemen are Azd, Ash‘ari, Himyar, Kindah, Madhhij, and Anmar. Regarding the last, it is said that Bajilah and Khath‘am are also from them. And those who settled in Syria are Lakhm, Judham, ‘Amilah, and Ghassan.
Hadith 10443
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Dhu Makhmar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This (matter of caliphate and kingship) was with the tribe of Himyar, Allah Almighty took it from them and entrusted it to the Quraysh, soon this matter will return to them. Abdullah, the narrator, says: In my father's book, the last words were in a disjointed form, but when he narrated them to us, he read them continuously (just as he read the rest of the hadith).
