بيان قصص أنبياء الله عليهم السلامExplanation of the Stories of the Prophets of Allah, Peace Be Upon Them
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ عِيسَى بْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
Chapter: What has been reported regarding the virtue of the Prophet of Allah Isa son of Maryam, peace be upon him
Hadith 10415
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ((كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَطْعُنُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ فِي جَنْبِهِ حِينَ يُولَدُ إِلَّا عِيسَى بْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ذَهَبَ يَطْعُنُ فَطَعَنَ فِي الْحِجَابِ))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every child of the children of Adam is touched by Satan with his finger at the time of birth, except for ‘Isa ibn Maryam. Satan did go to touch him, but he struck through the veil and returned.
Hadith 10416
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى بْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي الْأُولَى وَالْآخِرَةِ)) قَالُوا كَيْفَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ((الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ مِنْ عَلَّاتٍ وَأُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ فَلَيْسَ بَيْنَنَا نَبِيٌّ))
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am the closest of all people to Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) in this world and the Hereafter. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! How is that? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different but their religion is one. So there is no prophet between me and Jesus (peace be upon him).
Hadith 10417
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ((إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو إِنْ طَالَ بِي عُمُرٌ أَنْ أَلْقَى عِيسَى بْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَإِنْ عَجِلَ لِي مَوْتٌ فَمَنْ لَقِيَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيُقْرِئْهُ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I hope that if my life is prolonged, I will meet ‘Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon him, and if my death comes soon, then whoever among you meets him, convey my greetings to him.
