Hadith 10402
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Hazrat Sulaiman bin Dawood (peace be upon them) asked Allah Almighty for three things; He granted him two of them, and we also hope for the third. He asked that his command and judgment be in accordance with Allah Almighty’s command and judgment, so He granted him this. He asked for such a kingdom that would not be suitable for anyone after him, so He granted him this as well. And he asked thirdly that whoever leaves his house only to perform prayer and comes to this mosque, he may become as free from sins as the day his mother gave birth to him. So we hope that Allah Almighty has granted him this as well.
Hadith 10403
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A devil attacked me last night to interrupt my prayer, but Allah Almighty gave me power and I pushed him away. Then I intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that you all could see him in the morning, but then I remembered the supplication of my brother Sulaiman (peace be upon him): "O my Lord! Grant me a kingdom such as shall not belong to anyone after me." So, I let him go, disappointed and unsuccessful.
